Re: Cleveland Cavaliers ratings

How the heck can Lebron be a 100 overall? The highest in the game is 99.

Also David Lee is a center as of right now.

Re: Cleveland Cavaliers ratings

gotta say these ratings arent good at all..

2ks overalls dont make sense any more. Live atleast has a standard of 100 overall is unstoppable and almost perfect. Sorry online 2k gamers looks like Lebron will be unstoppable once again. 2ks ratings are undefined and Lives ratings are real.

Check an online league. Wade is 104, Kobe 102, LeBron 101, Paul 101.

The game only DISPLAYS 50-99. Obviously they can be better than that since each of those 99 rated players is not 99 in every attribute. And 2k has been giving players 100+ ratings for awhile now, as far back as 2k4.

The only reason Lee was a center is because the Knicks were centerless.

They aren't anymore.

Jared Jeffries was the starting center when he returned from his pre-season injury, and would have been the starting center had he been healthy to start the year. Lee started at PF in those games, and I am taking next season into account with the ratings. Lee split time between the two positions and should get most of his PT there going forward.

Further, the Knicks actually have centers this year. They picked up a legit shot blocker in Darko. They drafted Jordan Hill who D'Antoni has already said will be groomed as a center. And they will tenatively have Eddy Curry though we obviously shouldn't hold our breaths.

D'Antoni's lineup of choice last season was Duhon-Chandler-Harrington-Lee-Jeffries, even after picking up Larry Hughes. The reason I have JJ at PF rather than C is I'm leaning toward Darko getting the starting nod. If Curry isn't good to go, I'm most definitely switching Jeffries back to C.

Additionally, if I were to have both Lee and Jeffries at C that would give the Knicks SIX centers and leave Al Harrington as the only PF.

I mean, considering he's the MVP, should he be stoppable?

And the reasons why have more to do with dunk rating and dunk packages, which don't even affect overall rating. LeBron's jumper is still only average, it's not like he's perfect.

We just came off a season where THREE players posted Jordanesque 30+ PER, when most seasons we don't even have ONE player do it. This is not a problem with the rating system, this is the NBA having more superstars than it's had in 20 years.

Re: Cleveland Cavaliers ratings

Additionally, those four 100+ players also have clutch ratings that are pumping up their overall ratings by 4 points. Take out the clutch ratings and I've got LeBron rated 96.

In Wade's case, he has 99 Clutch Offense AND 99 Clutch Defense which gives him a whopping 6 point overall boost, from 98 to 104.
