By looking at Tomba's sliders so those raising the Strength settings high, this makes it harder to back down and score in the paint, and improves collision detection? Has anyone seen it work?

do u edit indiv. players vertical at all?
or offawr, defawr, oreb, dreb?
I ask cause in my games the rebounding is off a little. D Gibson had like 3 offrebs & my cavs had 10 offrebs in the 1st quarter(9 mins)

some and much more than a frew...

i'd love to say that this is still a work in progress with how much progress i've mad ewith it LOL but it is...

Right now i am testing and seeing what the community feels should be the best type of edit as well...

I just spent all day saturday trying to figure out what to do about players verticals.

Originally and in years past i had just used the players no step vertical jumps and converted the inches into cm.

35.5 inch x 2.54 = 90
20.0 inch x 2.54 = 51

Then here comes the problem. With all the added animations they dont get airspace between them and the ground coinciding to thier respective player molds assigned verticals.

This was leading to a trillion blocked shots mostly coming off post and jumpshot animations with comparitively non existing elevation.

Besides that do you see how freakishly high these players are leaving the ground from a standstill? Even a player rated at 50 still soars, compared to what you would see in real life (think Yao) Not very realistic looking at all.


We need something, converted since we cant edit from zero. I think it would be more natural looking and it might help get more realistic collision detection (getting only hands up contesting shots, fouls, blocks, dunks, etc.)

Im might have to figure out another formula using cm instead of inches though (in cm its easier to tell explosiveness because of added seperation.)

hi Tomba,

the roster is great man! but the shooting sliders for it...not so much...

when I play at pro...the cpu is scoring less than 40 % I increased there mid range to 53 the 3 point to 50 and the close range to 45...I will test it...because I don't want to win every game with 30+ points

but the roster is really good...keep on going man!

I will upload my sliders...I had a great game, Chicago @ Denver...very realistic stats and gameplay...based on Tombas settings...I only increase the gamespeed to 36...and made some adjustments for the sliders...try them...
