Who's still playing 2K8 with portlandblazers rosters?

I'm waiting until Christmas to get 2K9 like I do every year. These were so great I just wondered did anybody still play with these because I heard he wasn't making any for 2K9.

Agreed completely. That's usually the case with every single 2K game that comes out after its previous entry (except for 2K3 when it appeared on PS2 and XBox rather than Dreamcast).

i LIVE on his classic nba roster files. i've even purchased a few nba yearbooks on ebay dirt cheap and have done some more personal updates to his files.

i've played 2k9 one time and didn't even finish the game (couldn't get sliders right), but i have been playing with 2k8 non-stop.

probably because of my age (36) i gravitate more toward the '80's nba than i do today's version...

Portlandblazer works with Nogster with the os outsiders rosters on 2k share. They are tight but focus on the current nba rosters with shoes and accessories.

I lost ALL my game saves on my original XBox so I had to take it back. That sucks.

just played on of the funnest games ever...

i was the '86 celtics versus the bulls (which was the 1st round matchup that season). I won 122-114...I was trailing by 12 points late in the third period after losing a 5 point lead. The game was VERY close all the way through until the celtics pulled out a few stops late.

Bird had a triple-double (22 pts, 11 rebs, 10 assts)...parish had 39 pts and 16 rebs, and mchale had 36 pts and 9 rebs.

For chicago, Jordan had 27 (on 10-18 shooting) and orlando woolridge led the bulls with 29 pts...kyle macy had 18 pts and 10 assts. charles oakley got in foul trouble late, and his absence was felt on the boards.

free throws were the difference down the stretch (i shot 32 of 35, going 10-10 in the last 2 minutes of the game).

I still play 2K8 almost daily. Tried 2k9, HATED IT (gameplay is butchered). Tried 2K9 after the patch. "Oh, now it's GREAT!!!" I hear from the people. I give it a try. Still hate it. 2K8's gameplay is just alot more fun to me. I have like 30 replays of awesome plays that have happened in 2K8. In 2K9 I have had one play happen that was good enough to save. No post game and can't control what move your guy is ever gonna do. Enough of my rant though. I have an updated 2k8 roster based off of portlandblazer but for some reason when I try to put the roster on my computer is says it's 25mb and my internet isn't that fast so I don't wanna upload that much. Don't know why I can't get it down to like 5 mb like all of blazers files always are.
