Getting the small quick guys to shoot the ball...

My roster and slider update has gotten me to a point where the game is the most realistic gaming experience ever, but my only problem now is getting some of the main options for teams to attack and take more shots. In playing against GSW, Ellis only took 6 shots, and even though he went 5/6, it was either on the break(3/3) or at the end of the clock(2/3) where Jackson and Maggette took most of the other shots, which is realistic, but Ellis not taking it on his own isnt. Same goes for Rose, Parker, Ford etc. These guys have low 3 pt tendencies, so when they catch it and are open around the arc they dribble it for a bit then pass it off instead of attacking like they do in real life. I tried upping their drive the lane and 3 pt tendencies so theyd look to score and havent had much success so far.

Has anyone found a solution for this problem? Or am I going to have to pick the poison and either up their 3 pt tendencies to where theyre gonna catch and shoot it unrealistically at the 3 pt arc or just have them shoot 6 times a game?

the only way to fix the issue is pretty much to up their 3pt tendencies...annoying yes, but its all u can do to get them to look for their own shots..
boosting all their other tendencies , to exxagerated levels.. helps too... but not as much as upping their 3pt tendencies..
stupid 2k system..
what roster do u use?

I use my own. I've followed the NBA very close for the last 6 or so years so I know all the players. I just edited everyones close shot rating again because only the best inside guys should be over 85 really.

I have the top ratings set as: Lebron 97, Kobe 96, KG 96, TD 96, CP3 94, Dwade 94, Dwill 93 and go from there. The best role players are 78-80 and the very good but not quite superstars are 80-85, and the 2nd level bigs like Bosh Boozer and Amare are 88-90. I've edited basically every player, and had to go back and edit the awareness levels again because it was pretty ridiculous and thats the one rating that affects the overall rating the most.

Kobe is the best to play the game right now. Another overrated LBJ...

I'm not a fan of either, and last year I ranked Kobe higher, but I think as of now defences gear in more to Lebron than they do Kobe and the numbers he puts up despite of that is pretty amazing in a terrible offensive system. Both are overrated and roam too much on defence, but I think in terms of the overall offensive and rebounding game Lebron is better. Shooting wise Kobe is obviously much better, but I think Lebrons offensive awareness, passing, and rebounding put him over the top. Again it can go either way because they are so good and obviously its very close and tough to call, but insulting someone for saying either one is better than the other is stupid I think.
