Re: Editing Future Rookies in Association Mode

THIS DARN WEIGHT THING IS A BIG ISSUE WITH PLAYER EDITING PERIOD WHETHER FOR OUR ROOKIES IN ASSOCIATION MODE OR JUST REGULAR PLAYER EDITING. Yes, I capitalized for emphasis here. What's so hard about letting us input weight manually like all other major sporting game titles(NBA Live,Madden,NCAA Football,The Show)? This is a must add-on for NBA 2K10 IMO. This will fix a lot of player editing issues. I know I don't want my 6'2" PG looking like "The Blob" on the court nor my 7'0" C looking like a corn stalk either. I don't care if they play like they're supposed to either. Thanks!

Re: Editing Future Rookies in Association Mode

You can change the 'look' of the weight from the three provided body types. The weight issue in editing is nothing more than the numerical value displayed in each players profile. It should have no effect on how individuals play or appear on court.

I know we have the option of player build types but IMO the players
do look awkard. I already stated that it doesn't effect how they play but the players looks are not right IMO. Also, this still gets around my point in that this NEEDS to fixed with NBA 2K10 & allow us to input weight on players ourselves. This would eliminate any concerns about this issue period. What's so hard about this for 2K Sports to not implement this feature in the NBA 2K series? Thanks!

Re: Editing Future Rookies in Association Mode

i'm gonna upload the file a little bit later.. sorry wasnt able to edit a lot of stuff.. it's already good as it stands actually, i just made some very few (really few) changes based on my own judgment and research.. i would like to edit this more, but i just don't have the time.. i got work, i need to study, play games in 2k9, play fallout 3, play resistance 2 beta.. lol.. just too many games to play lol..

EDIT:

click -> 2k9 Prospects xls file - just basically edited to be easier to use for myself.. and it also has all the info you need on each of the players.. including accessories.. but i forgot to add the right/left handedness.. i also added jeremy pargo, taj gibson and danny green..

note: for brandon jennings's "college/from" just put in whatever you want, since i only put in the excel file what would probably show up when he gets in the nba, which is "Oak Hill Academy"..

note2: i also am not sure if you can put in spain..

Edits I made:

Ricky Rubio
Potential 85 -> 90

BJ Mullens
Potential 96 -> 89

Tyreke Evans
Potential 85 -> 87

Gerald Henderson
Potential 78 -> 75

Chase Budinger
Potential 80 -> 84

Derrick Brown
Potential 75 -> 70

Patrick Mills
Potential 70 -> 74
Tendency Shot Close 65 -> 50
Dunk/Layup Rondo -> Generic

Eric Maynor
Med 76 -> 79
Passing 88 -> 79

Re: Editing Future Rookies in Association Mode

good job, i dont think budinger has much if any upside though to be honest especially considering he will be one of the older players in the draft.

Oh and for brandon jennings i entered his college as "italy" seeing as thats wheres hes playing right now so thats technically right, its also worth noting that hes left handed. And though you cant enter "spain" into colleges, i always used to put "siena" as a replacement, dunno why they just look similar

on budinger, yeah i understand, but i have this feeling about him, and well, that's for me, thats why i always say that this is based on my own judgment and research..

thanks for the info on brandon jennings, and on the spain thing.. that was weird, since you'd expect one of the top basketball teams in europe to be there, plus a couple of spain's top players are very good in the nba (gasol and calderon)..

Re: Editing Future Rookies in Association Mode

great job guys! I appreciate the .xls, it makes inputting the 1st draft class so much easier. I especially appreciate the accesories addition in this latest .xls file. Makes the players look like they have more personality. Who else in the draft is a lefty? Would anyone post a list of guys on that file that are left-handed?
