The League: Season 1 Draft Thread
- Draft will begin Tuesday night, October 6th whenever jmood wants to make the 1st pick of the draft.
- The first couple rounds should go pretty quick, then we'll figure it out from there.
- I'll update the list as picks are made.

I'm assuming that we are keeping the same draft order for each round.

i.e. First Round 1, 2, 3 Then second round...1, 2, 3.

I really don't like that style at all.

You basically penalize the folks who were lucky enough to get the top picks.

Even though you may have the #1 pick for example....you don't get another pick until 16 picks later.

Meanwhile, a guy who gets the 8th pick can immediately snag another top notch guy right after.

I think it needs to be just like the NFL draft.

Each round..you start right back at the top.

Much more fair.

No more "Back to back" picks....I'm totally against that.

Season 1 is the snake drat.

If you want to try and trade draft spots with somebody go ahead. I'll trade with you and I won't take Granger #2.

Season 2 we can do the NFL style because your finish will determine where you draft. The Season 1 champ will get the #8 pick and so on.

It needs to be a majority vote on that.

Trading draft spots doesn't have a thing to do with it. It's a system that makes zero sense.

Just do it like the NFL draft...exactly what is so hard to understand about that?

Tully & chia51 have not responded yet, but it's 5-1 in favor of snake draft.

Apparently the snake draft system makes sense to five people, so I'd say "zero sense" doesn't apply.

With Season #2 I have no issues with doing an NFL style draft. The team with the worst record gets #1 pick and the team that wins the title gets the #8 pick.

Doing it Season #1 would penalize the unfortunate #8 team that just got the short end of the stick. Even though team #8 gets two picks, they don't get a shot at an elite player (D-Wade/LBJ/Dwight). Therefore there is a disadvantage to picking 8th.
