Nash

To me that takes a lot of the fun and balance out of the game if you all have all-star teams. If you do run a bigger league though (16+ teams) I'm definitely interested.
I have zero interest in expanding The League. As Drew said, it's hard to get quality members for a league. That's why I sent out so many PM's and asked people questions. People on this site talk the talk, but few walk it.

Teams will not be full of All-Stars. We are only using the Eastern Conference to draft. Whoever gets Dwight (89) has a huge advantage because the next highest C is Shaq (81) and then B. Lopez (77).

15 teams are condensed into 8, so the teams will definitely be better. It's comparable to drafting from the entire NBA with 16 teams.

I'd much rather do what we're doing than using real rosters. Then you'd have stacked All-Star teams.

Dwight, Rashard, Carter, Nelson?
Kobe, Pau, Bynum, Artest, Odom?
Garnett, Sheed, Ray, Pierce?

Yea those teams are much better than what our teams will be like.

Again, it wouldn't make a difference if we used the whole league either.

It's not like one guy would have all 90s and everyone else would have scrubs.

No matter if it's the whole NBA or just one conference, with only 8 of us, EVERYONE WILL HAVE COMPARABLE TALENT

An All Star team vs another All Star team is the same thing as a 65 rated team facing another 65 rated team...it all evens out.

My bad. I missed that part - that's awesome then. Too bad 2k10 doesn't allow you to modify the draft pool, this is a lot of extra work.

You've watched an all star game right? They play NOTHING like the regular season games. Admittedly part of that is they don't really care who wins or loses until the 4th quarter, but it makes a huge difference in your play style, coaching, and GM strategy (i.e. you don't worry about if your star player(s) is fatigued, because you have another star player on the bench).

The game also leans more towards NBA Jam because everyone can make amazing fadeaways, leap out of the building, and catch alley-oops to dunk on 4 people. Every possession would make it on sportscenter. I've played in leagues like that, it's not "Sim" at all.

Re: The League

I'm with you ILL. The whole NBA would be too much talent, that's why I split it up. I like smaller leagues and this way you utilize players you normally wouldn't.

I was in the Extreme Sims last year with 30 controlled teams and a fantasy draft. That league was 100% sim, intense, and fun. I'd do it again this year but they want like 4-5 games/week, which is a bit too much for me right now.

Plus I like the OS guys in this one. I think we'll have an awesome time.

Re: The League

Anyone else a bit worried about the frame rate issues being reported? If it's bad offline, I can only imagine what it would be online.

Re: The League

I play with the nosebleeds camera and have zero issues.

If the camera angle you use is an issue you might have to try another one.

I also play with nosebleed cam. I assume it's good with that cam?

Re: The League

Yea I'm pretty sure nosebleed cam is the way to go.

I only notice slowdown when the big stat overlays come at times. I turned off zoom in the key and that's a help as well.

Honestly, it's not really an issue to me.
