I usually play with the Thunder. Here is how I focus on playing:
I do:
Play daily
Play on ball D
Use the clock unless I have a break
Run plays
I do not:
Press
Try to steal the ball all game
Take most my shots from the paint
If you play sim please send me a friends request.

I'm Cencio99 on XBL and I play quite SIM. In particular I hate to play over and over the same play/move with the same player and I like to read the defense for taking what it gives me.
Given that Italian TV usually broadcast only top NBA games, I rarely pick up minor teams 'cause I know barely their game styles and players.
