PC players; Are you having crashes out fo nowhere too?

Lately when I play a game everything will be fine, and all of a sudden I get booted to my desktop with no error or warning. I don't know if deleting the settings files helps this, though it seemed to for a few games but now it has been happening all day again. It's really annoying and I don't know what else to try.

This is on Vista 64.
