POTENTIAL 5 ON 5 FIX

This was already posted in another thread, but I think it warrants its own thread.

From the 2k Admin guy over at the 2k forums:

"It confirmed what we suspected was the problem and this is in fact a valid work around. If you mute your headsets before the game starts it will help a lot in starting the game with less lag. Turning them back on once in the game shouldn’t cause any problems."

By in the game he means after tip-off. What I haven't been able to get an answer on is whether you have to turn it off before even starting the 5 on 5 game, or whether you can tell everyone to turn it off in the lobbies. Doing the latter, I've played two games that were smooth but the rest have been the normal slideshow until enough people quit. So I have no idea.

this ish didnt work for me..everyone had their mics muted in a game I just tried 10 minutes ago and soon as the ball was tipped off we got the "network error"

I think the network errors are another issue entirely. This is just supposed to help with the lag issues. Anyone else tested this out?

This game got taken back,,, Im playing Live til Black Friday, This game always goes down to $20, While Live stays at $60, Hopefully online will be fixed

Had a great time last night playing 3-on-3 via Player Match with these dudes... we were running an offense, calling out switches, playing zones, running set plays -- good stuff. Ran smooth except for a few instances of slowdown -- we had our mics on the whole time.

I can't say I've noticed this making a difference, but everyone has to be on board with it, and I think 1 or 2 people last night kept theirs on.
