2K13 MyPlayer Fix (4GB Slim 360)

I hope not to get trolled for making this topic, but I know a lot of people are struggling with this.

Quote:
Bascially I did this: http://youtu.be/KKnaixPCsns ... Here's another video; http://youtu.be/31yYAaxcuu4

Ignore the special case, it's purely cosmetic and not needed.

This is what I used as far as memory is concerned; http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/acc...s-refurb/72158 ... This is the CHEAPEST option; http://www.gamestop.com/xbox-360/acc...hed-used/42322

It's cheap and 60/20 GB. Also, you need these tools; T6 and T10 Torx screwdriver and a small piece of tape.

I bought the screwdriver in a set at Lowes for $10 -- you can return it if needed, but I'm keeping mine handy just in case.

Once you have the SATA memory (what you'll remove from the old hard drive) into your console -- it's tough to tell -- just COPY your 2K13 files over and select the hard drive. When prompted after loading 2K13 up to select a device, just select the new hard drive -- Wha-la.

I've taken some photos of the result, if needed I can take photos and write a detailed guide. I can send photos of my MyPlayer stats for proof along with the back of my console showing it's just a 4 GB.

Let me know if you need anything.
It cost me like $43 because I'm a PowerUp Rewards Member ... Again, if you have any questions at all just leave a comment or shoot me a PM. It works fine for me and I'd post proof if it's needed.

Hopefully no one has to spend any money and 2K is able to fix this in the next day or two.

Thanks.

What does this have to do with 2K13? You don't even describe the problem.

Mockosce is probably a fake account you made? lol

I assure you it's not.

This is what's happening to 4GB owners; http://youtu.be/gjaYOGp8zVs

Re: 2K13 MyPlayer Fix (4GB Slim 360)

the first attemp my xbox redlighted wtf... so i took out the hdd and put it in again. it kind of leans upward. anyways i turned it on and it works fine lets see if i can get passed the rookie game and get on a team finally! this is ridiculous. this was helpful because more gigs is always a good thing. at the same time this is 2k fault. they knew the paramaters and coding for these consoles your supposed to program to function with the console. not say ohh our updated game freezes on xbox 4gig because of what they did. you got it all wrong. anyways lets see if this works thanks for sharing the idea

Yeah, glad it works for you buddy.

And that case for the HDD that I said was purely cosmetic, which it is, will stop the drive from leaning upward.

Not sure about the redlight, typically that's just for overheating and not a hard drive issue.

And I've been saying that the whole time. Don't see how THAT big of an issue can pass by testing.

The fact that we have to go out and spend money on something extra just to get the game to function properly is stupid.

Get this fixed 2k, they should have JUMPED ON THIS as soon as you found out about it. TRULY RIDICULOUS.

I agree with you 100-percent. Like I said, they dropped the ball on this not knowing, or if they did, not having a patch upon release.

Not defending 2K in anyway, but I did need a hard drive in the long run. Madden replays are much better now and I can actually save highlights in NHL 13.

I hope they get a patch for this soon for everyone who is having the issue, while it's only $40 some-odd dollars to fix the problem, when you pile on $60 for the game and maybe $20 in VC (if you like to change accessories/animations) you're paying almost $150 to play MyPlayer if you own a 4GB console. Until they finally patch it.
