EA's contract with NCAA ran out according to Jrob: http://www.gametap.com/home/read/article/3048

I posted this in the MVP MLB board as well, but for those waiting for a new ncaa game, it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

No suprise. EA is a bunch of aholes. the one game of theirs that is any good.

Yeah the only series I loved a tons from EA. It sucks that they dont want to make another one. I just hope they will make one in 09 then beucase I have played 07 and 06 also 05MLB way to much and getting burnt out at times.

That's tough, but the writing was on the wall last year. The game was good, but not significantly better than 06. Hopefully, the MVP franchise can make a comeback at some point.

I say go the generic route with the next game. The crowd was weak in NCAA (even though that was realistic) plus you could show fights on the mound after a player gets hit by a pitch and some other things you arent allowed to do with a license.

The series really wasn't making money. This all comes down to "exclusive deals." Unfortunately, these killed some good games.

yeah the whole exclusive deal thing is really hurting us gamers. It would certainly help the competition BIG TIME if they still had MVP and it was MLB.

At the very least make a customizable PC version. I think the PC action-orientated/sim (not text sim) baseball game market is wide open for the taking.
