Or is EA done with baseball unless they decide to make a generic baseball game?

I would more than welcome a 360 version of a generic "professional" game.

Re: Just curious... did they green light a 360 version?

An XBox 360 version of college baseball would instantly become my favorite video game. I finally picked this year's up due to the crappy roster situation, but it's still the best playing baseball game on the market. I just love the MVP engine, and it would be a shame to waste that by throwing it in the garbage.

There is obviously a market for college baseball video games, and EA needs to remember that.

I only posted this here because it would most likely follow this game... but I don't want a college baseball game. I would prefer a generic baseball game. The likelihood of EVER seeing that though...

I would prefer a college game on the 360 over MLB or generic myself. College sports games are the only reason I even own a console.

I'd love to see a college game make it to a next gen system, but after this year's effort, I would think this series is done. I don't think I'd go for a generic game, those just don't interest me much at all.

MLB first, then college, then it would have to be AMAZING for me to get a generic game.

A generic game to me would be boring and really way too much work to make it resemble anything worth playing other then a good engine. What makes the generic game appealing to you instead of college baseball?

There is a market out there for college baseball. Unfortunately they killed alot of sales last year by releasing it after XBOX 360 was released so many of the diehard gamers were not even able to play it which hurt sales i am sure. When it came out last year it was selling very well and in the frozen college baseball mecca that is Fargo, ND/Moorhead, MN (total pop of 165,000) was completely sold out the first day at every story that carries video games. There is a market for this game EXPECIALLY on the next generation of systems.

Re: Just curious... did they green light a 360 version?

I agree that there is a market for this this game on next gen systems( can we still call them next gen even though they are now this gen). I think the market would be big enough for EA to keep the engine alive until the 2k deal ends.
Obviously it wouldn't sell like an MLB game would but it would sell fairly well IMO. Probably somewhere north of 200,000. At $60 a pop thats a lot of cabbage to pass on.
How long is the 2k deal anyway? 5years? I can't remember.
