Ok, here is how EA butchered the rosters!

thanks to throwheat22 on gamefaqs

i just thought this info should be put in its own topic. i think its pretty important and belongs on the main forum, but if a mod wants to put it in the rosters forum i won't throw a fit. i hope nobody minds

Quote:

the way it works is that whatever ranking the 07 team is in its roster is the roster of the 06 team with that rank

example:

Rice is ranked #8 in 07
Tennessee is ranked #8 in 06

Rice's Roster on MVP 07 NCAA Baseball= Tennessee's roster on MVP 06 NCAA Baseball

i cracked your code EA

you lazy S.O.B.S

This is almost unbelievable. What a completely lazy effort on EA.

Re: Ok, here is how EA butchered the rosters!

They really must have thought nobody would notice.

They sure aren't trying very hard to get people to like college baseball... 2 year old rosters mismatched with the wrong teams. Genius!

Its pretty sad how so many people on gaming sites are more dedicated to the rosters than EA. Its just sad they don't even have the tools to do it.

Without being able to adjust the players body type at all isn't going to make any roster update pretty nomatter how hard people try...... Not to mention every batters stance and every pitchers delivery would have to be changed. Every players ratings, etc, etc... Quite a puzzle to get these rosters accurate.

I 100% agree with everything you said.

It seems to me like those 14 iterations of R&F pitching took up majority of the time making this installment.

I just find it very strange to think that EA would just mix up the rosters like they did and think that none of us would notice. I still am wishfully thinking that it was an error/glitch and we were at least supposed to get the same rosters as last year. I wish there was a way I could just make every team have a completley generic roster. It would make more sense then having every single player transfer together to other schools simultaneously and so on and so on. Seems like a glitch to me just like the lefty bug in MVP 2004. This is a glitch that they can solve though if they really want to.

Doesn't that screw up how good or bad a team really is?

Re: Ok, here is how EA butchered the rosters!

On one hand, it wouldnt make any difference to me because I dont know college baseball teams well enough for it to make a difference to my enjoyment.

On the other hand, I really enjoy their engine and gameplay, and its too bad the series has resorted to this level...(weird roster move, no next-gen). My hope is that they are going lazy this year in an effort to fully develop next-gen for next year.
