Re: 2007 NCAA ROSTERS
I bought rosters on ebay. The names were done for each team. This helps, but the rosters I bought are far from being good. At the time I bought them, I didn't realize how bad they were.
I was so disappointed with MLB 2K7, I turned to playing NCAA MVP 07. I own a PS3. The rosters I bought about 2 mos. ago need a ton of work. 95% of the names are done correctly and the person who did the work put a fair amount of work into it. The problem is, he just stopped there.
Since then, I have methodically gone through all the Pac-10 teams (actually on 9 b/c Oregon doesn't have a baseball program); Tennessee, Miami (FL), UNC, GT, FSU, San Diego, Temple, Hawaii, and Penn St so far and corrected everything. It's incredibly time consuming. Some days, I feel like quitting on this roster project. Then I play a game, and my work pays off.
Here's what I revamped based on visiting each school's baseball website:
1) Appearance - (skin color, facial hair, uniform style, batting stance, wrist bands, shin guards - I look at tons of photos from each team's website).
2) Abilities - I've gone onto each team's website and printed out the stats for each player and change the ratings for each player to match. I test each team in several games to work it out the best I can.
3) Ratings - I use several NCAA Baseball national statistics leaderboards so that the best players (and worst) are represented well.
Two problems though:
1) I've only completed 13 teams so far. It takes a lot of time to do this. So, these won't be completed for a long, long time.
2) I own a PS3 and I bought the ebay rosters + memory card in PS2 format. I can save them but I can't copy the files back to the PS2 memory card.
I'd post what I've done, but I don't know how to do it. I am not sure how to extract the files from my PS3 (internal PS2 memory card) and post them here. Sorry. If somebody cares to give me very descriptive directions how to do it w/o much effort on my part, I'd do it. Good luck.
