Is Load and Fire required for online games?

I haven't really gotten into L&F yet, because I wanted to jump right into my Dynasty and be competitve. Does the online play force you to use Load and Fire, or can you use Zone or Classic? And do both players need to use the same batting interface?

For ranked games you have to use analog hitting and fielding.
