confused about the online multiplayer (2 on 2)

I was assuming that it would be 2 on 2 for 4 people online to play but I read that it is for 2 players on the ps2 vs to other players on another ps2 or xbox of course. I know it will only be 24 hours until I find out but just figured I would ask if anybody knows the truth to this??

From what I gathered, it's 2 people on one console, vs 2 people on another console online.

So basically, you and a friend can play on your PS2, then go online and play another couple using their (single) PS2.

As for 2 v CPU online, I doubt that is possible.. But I'm curious why you wouldn't just play 2 vs CPU offline?

My question is... Is this feature also available to PS2 users, or is it strictly for Xbox Live?

Well after everything I've read, 2v2 has to be 1 xbox vs 1 xbox with 2 people on each.

I don't know about 2vcpu online. That would be cool .


Jimp, I think the reason he was asking about 2vcpu online is because then you and a friend that is not in your living room can play co-op online.

I'm banking on 2 vs cpu offline myself. A coop dynasty would be a blast.

Ahh, I see. That would be neat, but I would guess it isn't possible. I've always assumed that both sides needed to have a human player, and that CPU only sides weren't possible in online gaming. Would be neat if I was wrong though.

I don't even own 2 ps2 controllers...I'm almost 23 and most of my friends don't play games (I don't know why) so I was counting on making friends by playing them the traditional way online and then going 2 on 2 with them. Oh well

from what i read on the ign review its what i hope 2 peeps from diff places verse 2 peeps from 2 diff places. Like me and Hustlin plays dave and a noob for Chicago.
