Tonight's the night!

This is a testament to how great MVP 2005 was (is): Tonight I will play the final two games of my Blue Jays season, meaning I will have played every inning of all 162 games. Sure, it took me nearly three years to do it, and sure, lots of people on this board probably play through entire seasons all the time, but to me this is a big deal. I've never managed to play through an entire season of any sports game except Madden. I've come close in several hockey games, and I came close in World Series Baseball 98 on the Saturn, but I've never actually done it.

Until now.

I think it says a lot about MVP 2005 that I still have fun with it years later and still get the urge to finish my season, even as games like CoD4, NHL 08, NBA 2K8 and Forza 2 call for my attention.

You're right, it was (is) an awesome game. I haven't played it since the year it came out, but I still have fond memories. I got about halfway through my season before NCAA Football came out and I lost interest. In MVP 2004, I played through an entire season with the Detroit Tigers. I think I started playing when the game came out in March and got to the end in mid-July just before NCAA dropped. Once NCAA Football comes out, I pretty much put everything else away - usually for good.

I'm really Jonesing for a baseball game right about now. I'm pretty psyched with what I'm seeing from MLB The Show.

It is a great game. I know its business, but I don't like the exclusive rights in MLB and NFL. Its bad for gamers.

The best I have done is play one game of each series in the first season, and then I usually go to playing a team once on the road, and once at home. The exception is vs. the AL EAST, (Orioles franchise).

Actually I just reinstalled MVP 05 on my laptop...getting that Baseball itch and cant wait until the new games drop (mlb2k8)!!

Congratulations! Completing a full season in baseball is something I want to do once in my life too.

Somehow, someway, I played through 3 full seasons with my Cincinnati Reds. Don't ask me how I did it. My first season took the longest (over a year in real time), but my others ones I completed in less then a year each.

I remember some of my days of like 9 game streaks. Oh god, my brain was fried after that.
