I'm going to try to get the latest version of this game with all the updates.

What is the latest version and what updates do I need to bring to up to date ?

How does it then compare to The Show 08 on ps3 ?

go to eamods.com - are you doing this for a PC or a console (and if so, which console)?

i have the original xbox version so that's what i'm more familiar with...and my son has the ps2.

Still a great game... It has aged well.

However, The Show has currently surpassed MVP '05...

It feels a bit choppy with the fielding. The ball doesn't travel very smoothly when thrown. Is this normal or my pc ?

Its probably your PC or maybe a no-cd patch thats causing your stuttering.

pc should be fine. I have everything maxed out in madden 08 with no problems.

Do some nocd patches cause problems ? Are there any good ones as I hate using the disc ?

Well, what patch are you on? Apparently there's an issue with some of the patches and mods. I think the one before last (#4 IIRC) was the best one.

But I'm not completely sure. Someone at MVPMods should know.
