Flash Drive Rosters?

I never broke down and bought MVP 2007, but I still own MVP 2006 for the PS2. I was wondering if it is possible to directly transfer rosters from the internet to the PS3 using a flash drive. Would I have to change the type of file, or should I be able to directly import the file?
