Anybody still use the hitters eye?

After all this time is there anyone who still uses the hitters eye? I dont use it when I bat from the hitters eye view, but I like to use it when I bat from the 4 center view.

Nope. Never really used it at all though. I like it more challenging.

Re: Anybody still use the hitters eye?

To be honest with you my overall hitting stats really dont change that much with it on or off. I think with it on, it cuts down on my strikeouts just a little bit. I like the fact that certain pitchers do a better job of hiding their pitches better than others which I think is realistic. The thing I dislike most about the hitters eye is the split finger is red and I think it should be apart of the fastball family. Part of what fools you about the split finger is that it looks like a fastball and then it just drops off the table, but when its coming at you like a big red apple it doesnt really have that effect.

Agree on the splitter thing. I still use it though since it cuts down on my K's a bit. I generally take a lot of pitches and that means a lot of two strike counts where the edge means I can fight off the pitch if I don't like it as opposed to hacking wildly. I also like that against weaker relievers with only a couple of pitches I can really load up on their fastball sometimes. Something that DOES happen a lot in real baseball. Finally, here it comes... whack.

The splitter is like a purple/pink color like the sinker if I remember correctly.

I don't use the hitter's eye anymore and it has significantly cut down on my homeruns... now every game isn't a blowout for me.

It may be purple/pink, I cant really tell because my TV is small and I sit far away. Maybe thats why I need the hitters eye lol.

Nope, when I did use the hitters eye it was too easy just to wait for fastballs.

I think one of the problems with MVPs hitting system is that even with the hitters eye on or off it is too easy to sit on up and in fastballs and knock them to the moon no matter what batter was at the plate. Thats one of the reasons why I felt like hot cold zones dont matter as much in MVP, because up and in fastballs is dangerous no matter whos at the plate.

When I used the hitters eye for about 20 games, then I'd mash most of the fastballs.
Now I'm not really that good at hitting mid 90s fastballs.
I do better against off-speed stuff, maybe it's because I'm waiting for the off-speed stuff against most of the mid 90s fastball pitchers.

Well, if the CPU's throwing the up and in fastballs then it's dangerous, but if your throwing them against another person or the CPU, they can be very effective just as long as your mixing up your pitches.
