NOTES************** I HAVE MADE IT AS HARD AS POSSIBLE TO PITCH WITH THE METER AND CONTROL AND FATIGUE SLIDERS. ALL YOU CAN DO IS INCREASE THE FATIGUE METER TO 15 OR 20 FOR HUMAN.
**********POWER IS AT 0 BECAUSE ITS THE CONTACT SLIDER THAT DETERMINES THE POWER . ALL THE POWER SLIDER DOES IS MAKE THE BALL GO FARTHER INTO THE STANDS FOR HR'S.
**********BE CAREFUL NOT TO HAVE THE CPU CONTACT TOO HIGH OR THE BALL PHYSICS WILL GET THE BALL TO THE OF'S TOO QUICKLY, THUS NO CHANCE FOR THE CPU TO TAKE 2 BASES ON A SINGLE.
************I MIGHT TINKER WITH LOWERING THE OF SPD'S SO THEY ARE SLOWER. I WANT TO SEE RUNNERS TAKE 2 BASES MORE OFTEN, BUT IF THERE ARE TOO MANY TRIPLES THEN I WILL KEEP IT WHERE IT IS AT SINCE IT PLAYS FINE NOW.
***********IF YOU ARE STILL DOMINATING AT PITCHING TRY THE 6-4 VIEW SO YOU ARE LOOKING IN FROM THE MOUND TO PITCH.IT'S MUCH HARDER TO LOCATE YOUR PITCHES THAT WAY. I USE THE 4 CENTER VIEW, BUT I MIGHT SWITCH TO THAT VIEW IF I AM NOT GIVING UP ANY RUNS,ESPECIALLY WITH MY NO. 4 AND 5 STARTERS.
**********I REALLY LIKE THESE SLIDERS AND AM CONTENT TO START MY DYNASTY WITH THEM, I LOVE THE POWER AT O!
*******IN CONCLUSION HITTING SLIDERS SHOULD BE FOR HUMAN 10/0 OR 15/0..AND CPU HITTING SLIDERS SHOULD BE 15/0 OR 20/0 OR 25/0 OR 30/0 DEPENDING ON WHICH VIEW YOU USE,REMEMBER THE 6-4 VIEW YOU WOULD WANT TO TRY THE CPU HITTING SLIDERS AT 15/0 AND WORK FROM THERE
*********I UNDERSTAND THAT EVERYONE'S SKILL LEVEL IS DIFFERENT THUS THE HITTING SLIDERS HAVE A COUPLE DIFFERENT OPTIONS.
*********I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THEM.DOWIE

Dowie, Good job. Now the only sliders you need to worry about as far as skill set is concerned is the contact slider. You've maxed the pitching sliders out for user and fielding. Can't do much more there. So, if you feel you need a more challenging season, simply lower contact for user and/or raise contact for cpu. Power really doen't do much. This makes things less complicated. I have my PM at -40 because I find my pitchers at 50% by the 5th inning and only 65 pitches. I tend to throw more balls to offset the cpu's timimg.

PS....you will still find that winning on Allstar is relatively depending on the team. Try playing a few games with Pittsburgh vs ST L or Houston to see the difference.

Re: Dowie's sliders version 5.0! (final!!!)

I agree. Thats why I gave a couple different sliders for hitting. I wouldn't go lower than +5 contact for human and +25 for cpu, or it will be HR derby for the cpu. I'm settled on these and am starting my dynasty. Try the 6-4 view with cpu contact at +15 and let me know how you feel about it...cool? Dowie

30 contact is working good for cpu, might go up to 35 or 40 and hopefully the hr' totals wont go up but the 1b's and 2b's will.

Dowie, some observations on the hitting sliders. I hit 2 homers last evening. One with Belliard (not a HR hitter) and the other with Pronk! (Hafner) Both homers were around 340 feet, very realistic. So hitting homers is more of a contact skill than power. The CPU hit one for over 400ft. I did notice the CPU putting more rallies and hits together as oppossed to hitting homers. Anyway, I'm convinced now that the contact slider is more responsible for home runs than power. The power slider determines how far. I think the CPU has an adjusted advantage on the power slider, meaning zero for CPU and human is not equal. The CPU must have some kind of a "head start" on certain sliders. It would be interesting if CPU power was set in the negative range to see if homers were more realistic. I'm satisfied enough not to tinker at this point. The number of homers is realistic, who cares how far they go.

I agree completely as far as the power #'s. My question to you is what contact sliders are you using considering that I gave a range to aim at?Dowie

Re: Dowie's sliders version 5.0! (final!!!)

I'm having better succes with the cpu's hitting at 40/0 to be honest. I might even try 45/o. I'm trying anything to get them to manufacture runs. I love 10/0 for the human side BUT I am having 0 success with hr's. Even Manny Ramirez only drove it to the wall once. I played a game with Boston and had 13 hits, 11 1b's and 2 2b's. I might try human power at 5 just to see.Dowie
