Cool Nasa's 2006 version 2.0 and 2.1 mvp level sliders

Hey guys whats up! i made 2 versions of my sliders(mvp level) i did a complete overhaul which i will call the 2.0 version, pitch speed is faster, cpu pitching is a little bit more difficult, double plays and force outs at 2nd look alot more smoother, runners will go from 1st to 3rd a little bit more, and i changed the stealing sliders to be more realistic, i also changed the runner and feilding injury slider as well, to many runners and feilders getting injured off of simple plays.

the 2.1 version i slighty slowed down the pace of the game, for players who like to hit at pitch speed at default, i also have a new pitching setting for that level for the user and batting for the user also. the 2.1 version plays a good game but at a slightly slower pace.

Note! on version 2.0 good teams will play alot better and hit the ball alot better, so pitch well concentration is the key for location so mix up your pitches, medicore teams will be just that medicore! but if u dont pitch well u can be beat!! also the stealing sliders u can steal on average catchers from time to time, but on good catchers with good throwing strength and good range you will have to use your skill to take 2nd base. personaly i play with the 2.0 version if anyone wanted to know..

Enjoy!!! Thanks!.............Nasa

Steven, I love both versions of your new sliders, but I have only one question about any of them....the pitcher fatigue settings for both the user and the computer. With your settings the pitcher ill get to 40% fatigue at or around the 60 pitch mark. There is no way you can get a starter to 100 + pitches without the fatigue lowering into the 10% area. That being said, how do you avoid injuries with pitchers if you let them go that long (that is if there still being effective). Playing this game for over a year now I see the computer will have pitchers get hurt consistently when they get under 30% fatigue. Should I lower the pitch injury slider or raise the stamina sliders for the pitchers. One last thing...did you make your judgement on pitch fatigue by determining it on pitch count or innings pitched? Thanks

Hey dowie whats up! ive done alot of testing with pitching sliders, i put my pitching fatigue sliders at that setting because some where between the 5th and 7th inning u really have to work for the win or work for the complete game, things get interesting around that point, i like that!! that feels realistic to me, if your going agianst a scrub team there times when you will breeze through there line up, but if your going agianst a very good team get ready to earn your win, me and you both know its hard to get pitch counts in this game(i've tried so many pitching sliders) so if i cant always get the pitch counts i strive for realism, so with that pitching fatigue sliders set at 15 it feels real to me because i have to work for my win by pitching good, just like baseball,as far as injury i have no problem with it i get a normal amount of injury to my pitching staff, i've toyed with the pitching injury slider and i found myself happy with 7, but tweak to your personal preference, i also found out that my user pitching setting works well with the bullpenn, and the cpu pitching slider works well to,you get to see the cpu warm up pitchers more, when there pitcher on the mound gets in trouble often, also keep note to visit your pitcher on the mound sometimes because if u get a positive reaction you might get rewarded with 10% more stamina which will give you a boost to complete a game, and have thrown more pitches. you really have to manage your starters and your bullpenn with my sliders, not only do u get to feel like a player with these sliders but u also get the feeling of being a manager, so if you make a bad decesion it will be on your mind through the course of the upcoming games you have to play, i like that! the player and manager feel i get when i play my sliders.

Thanks dowie, feedback is helpful.......................Nasa

That seems fair and logical, and I will stick with yours. One more ? I forgot to ask, what made you use that camera view as opposed to 4-center, r the one looking in from the mound when your pitching. Just curious cuz I use the 4- center, but your angle seems interesting. Thanks..it seems we are on the same page as far as how to play a REAL game of video baseball...Roger

By far the best baseball simulation there has ever been, so much detail...just like real life. My only complaint is the stadium atmosphere ( fans to quiet and generic, and the hitting backdrops of S.F.,Chi W.S., and Boston...can't see the ball out of the pitchers hand. I just asked about the camera view to see if it had anything to do with your sliders or if it didn't matter. I use the 4- center one myself. Go Tigers!

i agree with you, if the fans were just flat out loud when your rallying,or if u get the big strikeout, this game will kick a$$, other than that still the best baseball game ever!
your tigers just might have a good year this year, they have the right manager to lead them in jim leyland that just what they needed, i would like to see the tigers, brewers, reds, and pirates get really good agian just like back in the day. Oh! i forgot the hitting view has nothing to do with my sliders, tweak to your liking.

Thanks!............Nasa

Thumbs up Re: Nasa's 2006 version 2.0 and 2.1 mvp level sliders

Great work on the sliders Nasa. I am currently using version 2.1 and I'm loving it. Had to start my Dynasty over just to see what would happen. I love the feel that any pitch can turn the game around in the other teams favor. Or being up 2 runs doesn't guarantee a win. Thanks for the great work.

Do any of you use a datafile with these sliders? I'm just curious because some datafiles change how much control the pitcher has.
