Destined for history
I just played the opening game of a dynasty season with the Cardinals.
It's on All-Star using 2006 rosters with a combo of Justics and Bonecrushers sliders.
It's Cardinals vs. Astros at the Juice Box. Carpenter vs. Oswalt.
The verdict. A 1-0 Astros win, as Oswalt tosses a no-hitter. The first time I've ever been no-hit and who knows how many hundreds of games.
The game's only run. An Oswalt solo shot in the fifth. It was the first pitch of the inning and I did not throw a good pitch with Carpenter. But I thought it would end up down in the zone, in a low contact area for Oswalt, instead it was center left and Oswalt put it into the Crawford boxes.
The Cardinals had three basesrunners. Two on walks and the third reached on an error by Oswalt in the sevneth.
So Taguchi hit a ball that bounced just in front of the plate and seemed to go over Oswalt's head before being fielded by the second baseman.
Well, I guess Oswalt must of touched it, no evidence on replay, because he was slapped with an error.
I guess, I'm just pissed because I've never been no-hit before.
Oh well. Just had to vent. At least there still 161 games to go.
