Roster Update for Opening Day 2008 (PS2)!

Hey gang, I just wanted to alert you that if you check the boards over at GameFAQs.com for the PS2 version of this game, a poster (milkman) is apparently very close to posting .max file with fully updated rosters. He posted YouTube videos that verify his work, and he claims that he's also going through and updating the AAA rosters to reflect Spring Training invitees, etc.

I know that the PC and XBox1 versions of this game are superior, but since the former is impossible to find, and the latter isn't B/C on 360, some of us are forced to turn to this $4.99 (used) classic for baseball.

Looks like he should post it this week, he's only waiting on obtaining a MaxDrive so he can convert the file.

Ones that are done at eamods and mvpmods may also be converted over to PS2. At least this way it looks like PS2 users should have a definite set.

Yeah, how? Please tell! EA/MVPmods are at the forefront of updating MVP 2005, but I always assumed that those rosters were for PC only. Is there program that converts them into a Max file or something?

The people who do them on that site will convert them and post them. From what I keep reading, they will have rosters on or around opening day.

Actually, I can partially confirm what TheUglyOrgan is saying. KG (who created the most-frequently-used PS2 rosters) posted and indicated that PS2 rosters would be available by opening day, which is like 20 days from now.

Still, I'm definately giving this other guy's roster a look, because it sounds like he's done pretty well. Always good to have options...case in point: MLB 2k8.

By opening day has been the general consensus, hopefully before opening day, but I will gladly accept them anytime whether after or not.
