offline play is good online play not so good

what's up with all the lag online? My connection is 6MBdl/1MBul and this game online isn't fluid at all. playing offline and then online is tough when you gotta time stuff different cause everything is so slow. pitching meter moves slow and everything sup with that?

Exactly

I am used to playing offline with a good paced meter wenever i play online i barley ever get it in the green.

If you have adjusted your sliders for your Dynasty or Owner mode, it definitely takes some re-adjusting to the online games... When I play 3 or 4 online games, and then finish off the night on my dynasty, it takes me 2 innings to get to throwing the ball over the plate again. I have the Pitch Meter Difficulty set at the highest slider, and I have the Accuracy turned all the way down, so Online does take a little while to get used to ....

From your name, I am assuming you are playing this on a PS2. If that is the case, anyone having this problem on Xbox Live?

Yeah it lags like that too on xbox live no matter what. Stupid EA.

PS2 Mike..... YOUR connection is fine. It is the kid you are playing that is running Comcast with terrible upload. You have to make sure in the lobby that you connect with someone that has a solid connection to YOUR connection. In the X-box Live lobby, I do not accept any challenges, nor do I challenge anyone that does not have the optimum 3 bars filled green. There is nothing worse than lag during the games, and for that reason I do not play any Quick game matchups.... I want to see the connection, see what their Quit rating is, and see what type of sportsmanship ratings they have......

So 3 bars is good? In the FAQ in the Live section of the game, it explains it in a way that seems like the lower the ping, the faster the connection. I was on for the first time today and I had 3 bars, while most everyone else had 1. Can someone clear this up?
