Example of plug pulling?

Im not sure how this works but I had a game against the Yankees where whenever I was pitching it was completely smooth. But when my opponent was pitching just as he got into his windup it would crawl to a halt. Pretty much made hitting that Randy Johnson heater impossible. Somehow the guy was able to still hit the meter on time as well. I didnt want to accuse anything since I wasn't sure. I just thought it was odd that one part of the game was consistently smooth and the other incredibly laggy. Usually its either one way or the other. This is on Live fwiw.
