I'm so sick of people sending me messages during the game trying to tell me that we're playing "strike zone only"...

I've played a couple of those games and all you have to do is see which half of the plate it's gonna be on and get the timing...

if the other person knows that your going to throw a strike it's pretty easy to sit back and wait for a mistake pitch over the middle... or a fastball on the outside corner and take it over the wall to the opposite field...

play the game how you want, if you wanna throw 4 straight fastballs up out of the zone, then I'm gonna take a walk... I dunno 'bout you but I wish people would throw more balls...

it's not like when you play the computer it throws all strikes unless you mess with the sliders which means you're not playing a sim-baseball game like you're supposed to... I don't know where people get this idea that baseball is supposed to be easy and predictable...

real sim players > stat junkies

My friend always whines because I score more runs than he does and thinks I'm cheating *rolls eyes*. Here's my secret, THROW BALLS !!! Not an overabundance of them but at the right time to keep them off balance. His problem is that he throws 90% (probably higher) of his pitches over the plate and you can pound on them all day long like an ugly red-headed step child (hehehe)

Balls, strikes, whatever. I try and hit the corners and mix up my pitches. I'm not going to groove it down the middle, but I'm also not going to use Randy Johnson and aim it way out of the strike zone with fastballs most of the time either. The only issue that I have had online is a guy pinging his modem when I am trying to pitch. That got unbelievably annoying, since I couldn't hit the mark when he froze the game during every pitch. What happens is you either throw a ball or a fat pitch. I'm assuming this is the same "technological breakthough" that people use in Halo 2 to freeze everyone else and run around. Anyone else seen this in MVP?

BTW, the guy who was doing this to me goes by the gamertag sicksniper. He finally got a hit on a fat pitch in the 5th (homer by Varitek) to get the win 1-0. I'm still not sure why I didn't drop out in the second or third inning when he started doing this.
