Laggier than other EA games

The whole MVP server seems laggy compared to the Madden server. Everything is slower and not as smooth. From the online lobbys even to the ticker at the bottom of the screen. The actual gameplay is laggy as well no matter what the connection. You have to start your swing extra early and you have to stop you pitch meter early as well.

I don't think the game is that laggy..It didn just come out though..Of the 14 games I played only say 2 were somewhat laggy...My ping is like 120 usually too...

As for starting your swing early and pitching early it may have to do with it being on AllStar rather then pro...

The servers are still young. Every game lags considerably for the first couple of weeks that it's out. I haven't been able to play online behind my firewall at school, so I'm excited to do so once spring break comes up. Some kids go to Cancoun and Florida for Spring Break and they're excited... I'm just excited to play MVP Baseball 2005 online.

That explains why I was pitching so crappy yesterday! All my pitches were late, I was getting really fustrated! It does not happen all the time but it is fustrating and very noticeable.

i was thinking the same thing myself i have broadband and not only were the games laggy, but the whole screens were overall very slow. Hopefully that will get corrected. Madden is very slick compared to this, i was actually kind of shocked at first. Eh, ill get used to it

Re: Laggier than other EA games

I also noticed this...I thought it was due to my graphic settings? When I play against the cpu...no lag or slowdowns.

Online was horrible. Could not stop the pich meter at the right point b/c of the lag.

I hope they fix this...

by the way...the ping for my game was 62!

Nit

When you are in a matchup room you will see everyone listed and next to their name is a number which is their ping. You will see it fluctuate at different times also.
