Nick Diaz ends retirement and wants to fight Anderson Silva

Wow......style wise it would be a pretty good fight since Nick will stand & bang the entire fight. Could he beat Anderson ? Hell no....but it would be an entertaining fight.

Re: Nick Diaz ends retirement and wants to fight Anderson Silva

Nick would get led to slaughter and I say this as a really big fan of Diaz's fighting style.

Nick is not very fast nor is he very athletic, so he would try his punches in bunches combo like he always does to wear guys down. That would lead him to be eating Anderson's precise, laser counterstrikes all day and because Nick is so tough he would end up looking at the lights multiple times. Most guys don't hit as hard as Anderson does so the whole take one to give one strategy isn't that great of an idea. I would think that if this fight happens, it might end up like Leben status..

It would be exciting and it would be a ballet of violence but it would probably be a one-sided beating. It'd be great to watch for sure though but the UFC can't really justify this superfight as is. But with this also said, war Nick Diaz for having the guts to want to fight the very best.

Why does he deserve to leapfrog an entire division he has never competed in? It's not like he's a long time champ like GSP. He lost an interim title match to Carlos Condit. He should need a few wins at Middleweight before even sniffing a title shot. Give him Munoz, and Sonnen before a title shot.( He wouldnt beat either one)

Anderson is literally the worst matchup for him. No head movement/lateral movement plus no fear of takedown for Anderson = Diaz getting KO'd for the second time in his career.

he isn't asking for a title shot. He wants a catch weight fight against Silva.

Give it to him.

I'd love to see Anderson shut him up.

That would be such an awesome fight! I love the Diaz bros, they are funny and entertaining and pretty damn good fighters as well. While Nick won't stand a chance against Anderson, it'd be one hell of a fun fight to watch!

It still wouldn't shut him up. It'd be great to see him get KO'd though, and maybe Shields/Gil/Nate can jump Anderson after the fight! I'd still take Anderson though.

Very true. He'll always talk, but hey....maybe Anderson could make him look as scared as he made Chael look when he realized he was on the ground about to get killed.

Re: Nick Diaz ends retirement and wants to fight Anderson Silva

Lol, everytime Nick's name comes up, I just love reading through the posts. Entertaining as heck. People act like he's personally offended them and cursed at their mothers

If anything Anderson's camp are acting like clowns again.

Quote:
"Anderson has the biggest paycheck in the UFC, and you can't promote an event with these amateur kids that are coming up now," manager Jorge Guimaraes told Tatame.
GSP has business to attend to at his own division. He's not going to jump in to a ****ing fight with Anderson ****ing Silva coming off injury. GSP still has a wealth of contenders to go to war with.

I understand that Anderson is aging, and that you want to only make big name fights, but you don't call Chris Weidman an amateur. Lmao

I think the idea of @SpiderAnderson vs @nickdiaz209 is pretty good. Let's see what the @ufc thinks?Guimaraes told Tatame.
