I'm sick of TRT

I don't buy that fighters need that and if someone listed every fight where someone used it I'd put a * by every one of them.

Hendo and the like included

NSAC's doctor confirmed that Chael has hypergonadism and needs the treatment. They are going to watch his *** like a hawk to make sure that he is not misusing the treatment.

I'm just happy the fight is happening.

On another note, this Diaz hearing is good. I'm a legal nerd but I think most folks would find this interesting.

I'm sure they do watch whomever is on it like a hawk but if your body can't make enough of something like testosterone, maybe combat sports isn't for you.

Artificially boosting or enhancing or adding that to your body is just asking for controversy.

Note: I am a novice in the world of enhancement supplements/drugs, legal or illegal.

Here is Chael's counter: He has an illness. In order to fix that illness, he needs to take testosterone. In his eyes, its no different than a fighter who takes medication for anxiety or a heart condition or any other illness.

Going off what Aholbert is saying; you can't deny him to fight b/c of his illness unless you can prove it's a danger to him or others.

Re: UFC 148 - Silva v. Sonnen - July 7

I never said deny him to fight. I'm saying ban TRT

I love Chael as much as anyone but I don't like the fact that in MMA a guy can take TRT no matter what the hell is wrong with him.

Comparing low testosterone is a bit different than a heart ailment or anxiety. Artificially adding testosterone just doesn't make sense in sports and especially in combat sports

Actually it does. Low testosterone levels can lead to a lack of strength and stamina. It makes plenty of sense that a guy who has low levels should be able to bring his level to the level of an average male his age.

I would have an issue with this if NSAC's own doctor didn't just testify and say Chael had a medical need for TRT.

Also I think people are making a bigger deal of TRT than it is. Only 5 UFC fighters have received TRT exemptions (out of 300 plus fighters) TRT doesn't allow you to have testosterone levels over the average male your age. The process to get an exemption requires an medical reason from your and the commission's doctor. If you don't go through the process....you get suspended. Chael got suspended and missed out on TUF because he didn't get an exemption. Marquardt didn't follow the rules and got cut.

Which leads back to why I said, if you need TRT maybe combat sports isn't for you.

When Chael fought Anderson the first time and got suspended for not going through the correct process for TRT, what were his testosterone levels at?
