This is the only thing stopping me from doing what you are doing. With the first game of the MLB The Show on the PS-4, I may do what you are presently doing. I also think that it is wise to spread it out over at least four years. If you played 11 games per week, you could finish in about 4.5 years. If you enable Fast Play under the Presentations option, games take half the time. I will follow your progress over a period of years if you actually accomplish this lofty goal. I hope you do.
1. I just play one side, i pitch and bat for just the one team.
2. I am using Scotts rosters
3. I do use fast play as well. it usually takes me about 45 minutes to get a game in with no interuptions, give or take a few minutes

Post Re: Playing every game during the season

I am going to do the same thing as you are doing. I decided tonite that since this is the only game I own and I will purchase a PS-4 asap when it is released, that I will be able to keep the PS-3 for this game only. I have done hitter edits and will be using seanjeezy V3 pitch edits for each pitcher as I do those edits to each pitching team before I play their first game of the season. I will use Fast Play and disable it only when it appears I have given up a HR to the CPU. I am ONLY going to pitch with each team in every game. I will NOT even bat one at-bat the entire season. This way, every stat, for both Pitchers and Hitters, will be realistic -- so my ineptitude with hitting will not negatively influence any hitters avg. This may take me 5 years, but, if I live long enough to do it .... then I will accomplish it. I will start a Thread and hopefully somebody wants to follow it as I post every couple games and I will give you Screen-Shots and Injury/Stat Updates if I can figure out how to post pics. I am a full-time college student with one year left to earn my Bachelor's Degree, I am single, and I am a girl .... but I adore Baseball I want to see how our seasons compare, Funkey Monkey.

Hannah, are you actually female?

If so, you'd literally be the first I've seen disclose that in the Show section on OS.

Yes, my cousin wants me to help him play thru an entire season, so I said I would. Sometimes he posts on OS under this account. I don't mind admitting that I am a girl. This is a fun game and my girlfriends think the game is stupid and a waste of time. But, it doesn't stop me from playing The Show a few hours per week.

Thanks for the reply.

Disregard the question about your cousin over in your thread. And good luck.

If you want to play a whole season, you better play more than a few hours per week....

Re: Playing every game during the season

We are planning on playing 10 total games per week. If done, we would be on schedule to finish in 4.51346153846 years!! Maybe sooner, I am gonna help him when I can but I actually think he is going to do it because he sticks with something when he wants too. This is Funkey Monkey's thread, so I apologize for clogging it up with some unrelated posts. My cousin thanks you for inspiring him to try this idea out, Funkey Monkey. How far along are you in your 2,430 Season?

Re: Playing every game during the season

I've done this exact same thing in each iteration of The Show the last three years. I've never made it out of the first month of the season (skipped spring training). Each year it becomes more and more difficult for me to find time to play. I'm currently on April 6th. Yankees @ Rays. I play home teams only.

Good luck FunkeyMonkey. Have fun. Glad I'm not the only person who has done this.
