Not a game killer, but it def needs to be patched somehow imo
Might be a stupid question, but are you playing most of your games in a stadium with a low fence somewhere?

I havent seen any myself so far.

Re: Too many ground rule doubles???

Umm, probably. I think if I turned it to auto fielding it would help uz I know for a fact I have messed up allowing a ball to drop only to see it jump over the wall. Just played about 4 innings of a game in St. Louis and had it happen. I don't think the issue is "too many" it's just that the ball bounces way too high when it hits the ground on a fly ball. The ground/grass doesn't absorb enough of the speed of the ball so it bounces too high and up over a wall. 7 games straight that I've seen at least one (and I have been normally playing about 5 innings of each and then quit).

I've had a few but not too many to notice a problem.

Do you really care where I sent this from?

I have been seeing way to many ground rule doubles. My last game there was a total of 4 and two of them cost me runs.

Re: Too many ground rule doubles???

The ball shouldn't bounce that high on grass, simple as that.

Dirt? Can probably hop a little lower, but that's the only way you can get a ground rule double. No ball can hit grass and go over a fence in fair territory for one of those. This game disregards that.

I wish I wasn't playing on the Vita right now so I could record video of a ground rule double I've already experienced in my game.

EDIT: Actually, I have video from when I first got of the game of a poor ground rule double example...

Re: Too many ground rule doubles???

Yeah i've seen 6 just alone in the last 3 games i played in season mode, that hit the grass not the warning track, and bounce like a rubber ball right over the fence, pretty much just like you see in the video posted above me.. i can see if they hit the warning track, that would be no big deal, but these are hitting grass, in real grass fields and going over the wall on a high bounce. i'm also getting too many choppers hit behind the plate that go several rows back in the stands in each game played, with way too high a bounce.

After playing some more I still don't see a problem with ground rule doubles but I'm leading the majors in doubles. 2nd place is 20 behind me.

In my experience, they do seem to happen a little too frequently.

Re: Too many ground rule doubles???

I've played a gazillion games including online games and it has not been an issue at all. I've seen a few of course but not any type of epidemic.
