Surprised you hadnt seen this in last years game.
I seemed to see it atleast once a game.

I have a ball physics one that was really cool looking.
I hit a hard grounder up the middle, the CPU SS dives for the ball and it hits the bottom of his glove then his stomach and bounces toward 3B. The 3B then walks over and picks it up and I get an infield single. Before this year that ball would have just been a single of the middle. It was amazing how many times the ball changed directions and how many things it hit.

Ive never seem this one before. The computer hits a ground ball up the first base line. Moreland goes to backhand it but the ball hits the bag and just dies. I try to run and get the ball but couldn't decide if I should use Moreland or my pitcher so no one picked the ball up.

It's nice seeing the CN Tower. Has red light accents at night too!

Played a game at Wrigley and the crowd had a beachball bouncing around in the first few rows behind homeplate. Also pretty cool how fans reach over the rails into the field of play to try and grab a foul ball. Haven't seen them actually scoop one up yet.

I was pitching last night with CJ Wilson ( Angels ) and I am not sure who was at bat at the time from the Rangers it was a right handed batter but he foul tipped a fastball directly back at the umpire and the ball hit him flush right on the mask and mask moved to one side and he bent over in obvious pain, very nice touch. LOL

Playing against the Tigers, Verlander pitching, he fires in a 95mph fastball and hits Avila square in the face mask. It bounced to the on deck circle and allowed my runner on first to advance to second. Upon watching the replay, Avila flat-out missed catching the ball and took a Verlander fastball to the face. I think the only thing missing was the sparks coming off the mask, haha.

Re: MLB12 The Show, The Little Things Thread

I was playing Diamond Dynasty, pitching. Runner on 2nd, 2 out. 0-2 count. I blew a fastball by the batter, and somehow my catcher completely missed the ball with his glove and it smoked him in the mask, popped up in the air behind him and rolled over near the dugout.

The worst part is that I was kind of explaining some stuff to someone next to me, and I assumed it was a foul ball when I heard it hit the mask (that is to say I thought the noise was him fouling it straight back), so the runner scored all the way from 2nd while I stood there behind the plate like an idiot.

Even though it worked against me there, I thought it was a pretty cool new possible outcome.

Edit: Haha I guess I should've read the whole thread first, as WahooFan's post directly above mine had the same thing

The first ball I hit was crushed towards the mound and bounced right off of it for a base hit, never noticed that before in 11'. Oh Joe Nathan blew the first two saves of the year in my franchise, so I guess this game is pretty damn realistic.

Some little things:

Playing a Spring Training game against the Nationals (I the Astros) and Jordan Zimmerman relieves Strasburg in the fourth.

So I'm sitting there thinking: "wait, I thought Zimmerman was a starter? Did he move to the pen or did SCEA really code the logic to allow anyone in since it's ST because that would be cool."

Well, not a second later does the booth chime in with: "In case you're wondering, Zimmerman is still a starter. Sometimes in Spring Training, managers want their guys to just get their work in (paraphrasing here).

Anyway, probably not a new thing but first time I've heard it.

Also really like how the rain comes in and out during a game. One ST game in Florida the rain was really coming down. Not game delay hard but noticeable before it settled down.
