Re: MLB12 The Show, The Little Things Thread

This is something that shouldn't be considered a "little thing" but I don't know where else to put it. Finally, after at least eight years in this game, on instant replays they have removed the audio of the replay itself, and left in the live ambient stadium noises. In other words, when the batter hits the ball in the replay and the crowd reacts to the play all in slow motion, the audio is finally left out.

Nice touch! I like to think they listened to my suggestion on that one.

I've found that if I have a pitcher warm and scheduled to come in next inning, and then simulate that half inning, he comes in.

A lot of times last year some random pitcher would come in who was not warming up, really annoying when I'm trying to skip through my at-bat innings to get to the save.

I am using classic pitching and used to doing somewhat of a hurry up pitching in my RTTS but after I have had 4 balks called on me in the last two days I find myself coming to a complete stop before releasing the pitch now, nice touch.

There is also a patch on the cap of the Astros.
The Red Sox have the "100 years of Fenway" patches as well.

Last night in a Spring Training game, Adrian Gonzalez is up to bat, and some guy yells out in his best Rocky voice, "Yo, Aaaaaaaadriannn"

Awesome.

Playing in my RTTS I took a close pitch that was ruled a ball to send the count to 1-2. After the call they showed a cutscene of the opposing Manager just going bezerk in the dugout. He was yelling and pointing his finger at the umpire. I thought he was about to get tossed.

ok as a Rocky guy, that was cool.

one thing I've noticed playing this game since the ps2 days...this whole game is a little thing.

the 'everywhere you look and whatever you do you see something cool' feel that the game has is a part of what makes it what it is and why it has such a dedicated following.

Re: MLB12 The Show, The Little Things Thread

Ive been playing since '09 and I think they added more reactions to strikeouts. I struck out on back to back pitches about an inch outside called for strikes. When they happened I was saying to myself whatever BS call. Hitting with David Murphy his body language said the same thing. He didn't even react much to being punched out and just shrugged his shoulders and muttered to himself

left my room for a minute came back and Josh Hamilton was sleeping on the bench and Kinsler was waving a hand around his eyes to see if he was asleep. After that he goes up to his ear and screams to wake him up

Also Love how walkoff HR's transpire this year. Instead of a cut scene it happens in real time, had Thole walk off on me and he celebrated on the way to 1st and it showed him celebrating rounding the bases
