MLB 12 The Show Video - Edit Player

This may be a stupid question, but I will ask anyways - Does anyone know if MLB 12 will have past players created and uploaded for MLB 11 in the Player Vault?

I think it may be possible because EA did it with Teambuilder teams, but I think that's a little different set up there.

thats a bummer. I really cant see why this stuff is taking years to get put in the game. bats with no rings were taken out, its taken 3 years to add a couple cleats and batting gloves, and we are gonna be waiting at least another year before we get some more fielding gloves? this is the easy stuff here. this was a big gripe with madden when they only had the 2 reebok shoes in the game, not everyone wears the same glove. Im sure people will come on here defending it, but it takes me out of the game to see every pitcher and infielder with the same thing on, every outfielder with the same thing on.

It's not easy at all. Having to model to all player types. All animation situations, etc.

Plus last year added new player models, which then having the stuff this year was quite fast.

Then there is coming up with art and designs from scratch that do not mirror patents on real life equipment, and not look artificial in the same respect.

Then there is coding for every player to have the different gloves and cleats from the other players on the field without breaking something else in the millions annnnddd MILLIONS of the people's code!

It is not any more "easy" or less "time consuming" than anything else in a 10 month (generous) development cycle. Especially with all the other "art" people want in other areas of the game.

We have already been over that before. It doesnt matter if it mirrors them as long as the copyrighted logo isnt present. The bats and gloves we have now mirror rawlings equipment exactly, theres just no rawlings logo so that argument doesnt hold water. What are the people that work on this area doing if they arent working on adding some new designs? Regardless of whether its easy or not, it shouldnt take 4+ years to get something in a game.

Well considering EVERY OTHER sports game can do stuff like this year to year Id say yeah its a fact (we can exclude 2k baseball, they are just lost and I dont even consider that a sports game). What makes y'all the only one that is so far behind that the addition of a fielding glove takes so long? Please enlighten me.
The first one for PS3 was what 08? So this is the 5th installment with nothing changed on the fielding glove front. Y'all have even taken out stuff that looked pretty good. Why take anything out at all? Add to it for more options.

Do you realize they only have so much space to work with right?

I am not throwing down the show or it's creators in anyway, I am just wondering, how come other games can use the home uniforms in the player edit but this game can't?

I guess baseball takes up more memory, thats the only explanation I can think of. football, hockey, basketball, even soccer have tons of this stuff.

There is far more fidelity in not only graphics, but what is going on in the stadiums compared to cookie cutters in the other sports.

All memory. And I don't see a plethora of equipment in the other games to how you describe.

And you can not use the same "design" but emit the logo. It can only be 30% similar to the licensed product.
