Off to a 2-5 start with the Mets. My pitching has been horrendus with an ERA close to 7. I use Analog on HOF and use Timing on All-Star for hitting.

Jays got multiple prospects for Halladay...

Indians had to trade Lee and got multiple prospects....

Sabathia netted multiple prospects like LaPorta....

Felix is locked up by Seattle, and won't be going anywhere. You would really have to offer up the house to get him, not just a scrub pitcher and an A prospect.

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread

At the all star break in my bosox franchise... a frustrating 45-47. Youk is out for 1-2 more months with a fractured shin & just lost crawford for 2-3 wks w/ a pulled hammy (brought up Kalish). On a bright note, we won the All star game 4-3 with a Andrian Gonzalez home run! It'd bepretty amazing if we made it to the fall classic...right now looks like the yankees will be in it. Just offered a big trade to the padres...sending them 3 minor leaguers(two sp & a 1B...one is an A potential) for 2 minor league SP(one A potential) and Orlando Hudson. I NEED him bad to help solidify my infield with youk out & scutaro having a miserable season (hitting below .190). Lowrie, however, has been great, hitting .294. I played the World vs USA game during the All Star break & loved the Padres minor league SP, Ronny Drew(A pot). He's one of the guys in the offer...hopefully I get him, real stud. BTW, Beckett was named the starter for the AL on the mound and Gonzalez was a backup 1B for the AL team...no other sox made it.

Re: MLB 11 The Show "Franchise/Season" Progress Thread

16-21 with my Royals so far. Playing on all star hitting and pitching (both analog).

April was a pretty decent month, I have a hard time getting the bats rolling with the new analog hitting but good pitching has kept me in it. I called up Moustakas first week of the year and he hasn't had much production (.204, 5 HR, 12 RBI) so I kept on with the "process" and have since called up Duffy, Montgomery to fill some spot in my rotation. Also just called up Hosmer at the end of the Mid May series against the Yanks.

I love my Royals and hate trading players, but I am trying to play the whole season and see if I can sneak in a wild card bid or something. So far I traded the Blue Jays Jeff Francis and Francouer for Travis Snider who has done alright for me (.286, 7 HR, 19 RBI) Also a trade just went through sending Hochevar, Melky Cabrera, and John Lamb to the Twins for Liriano, Kyle Gibson, and Span. I lose a great prospect in Lamb but in my rotation Gibson is MLB be ready and Melky was hitting under .200 and I could not deal with it anymore. Plus Liriano over Hochevar is an upgrade.

My most recent trade I hope turns things around, I have been having tremendous trouble with the analog hitting now and am thinking of going back to timing, but I just love the analog so do not want to do it.

Billy Butler is batting .333 for me and is the only man over 300 on the roster. My bullpen has been awesome, Jeffrees and Crow both have over 20 IP and an ERA under one. I just sent down Collins to bring up Hosmer due to a couple of blown hold (I hated doing it because I love watching Collins play in real life)

I love having players to call up and potentially help my team however I am really only having that with pitchers, as the batter like Moustakas and Hosmer do not seem to be producing much at all but I figure it will come in time.

I will be happy with this chise if I am somehow able to sneak in the playoffs, hell I will even take a second place finish in the central..

Love My Royals.

Re: MLB 11 "Franchise" thread

Hey guys,

I could use some trade help. Right now I'm playing as the Cubs and it's in the first season. It's near the beginning of July and the Cubs are starting to drop out of the race.

I've placed Marlon Byrd, Carlos Pena and Kosuke Fukudome on the trading block.

Any suggestions on who I should trade for? I'd like to get a few young prospects (A or B potentials) in the deal.

Thanks!!
