And do you have any advice for successfully moving the PCI in time? I also enjoy playing with higher pitch speeds, because I hate how the pitches visually look at lower ones, even the fastball looks like a breaking ball if you play below default speed, and it ironically makes me play worse at lower speeds than I do at higher ones. But I haven't been able to keep up, the fastballs high in the zone always ruin me, so I haven't spent much time actually playing this way.
I go to the minimum size. I play on a 32" TV and while it's visible, it's nowhere like the default. You definitely find controlling your pitches more difficult without the insane difficulty of not using it at all.

I explained how I go about hitting in the last post. I sort of sit the PCI in a location and react to different locations. Funny thing is, I hold the controller upside down - it's how I've played since the N64 - maybe it helps me with dexterity.
I only really look all over the zone with 2 strikes when I'm protecting.

One question, joe, and I dunno if you'll know since I use timing.

Do you think giving the CPU and HUM 3 solid hit and -1 on power would be good? I just felt like there's a lot of HRs but I don't want to do it if it's going to take away from the good looking hits.

But I'm not a huge MLB fan so my numbers could be off. I only watch my Yankees. So besides around the lg single player stats I'm not certain.
Not for me. Power at 6 feels perfect, the ball reacts better, gets over outfielders heads, gets into the corners, ground ball singles and doubles are more likely. I wouldn't dream of going back down to default with power.

Solid hits was at 3 for a while, but the game plays more realistically at 2 for me. At 3 there are too many liners that just drop in for hits and less bad contact. 2 is better for hit variety IMO.

Best sliders I have played so far my friend. I have been playing with these for a few days now and the games have played out great! I use timing hitting and was a little worried about the 10 pitch speed with my old reflexes and the base running speed at 0, but I went with it and I am glad I did. I hit the ball better now than I use to, draw walks and can still steal bases and get xbh. Excellent job on these.

Thanks man, you using the Orioles as your franchise? They were my OSFM project.

Re: JoeRyan33 HOF Sliders

I have been playing with them but I am waiting on the pitch edits for my chise. I know you did the work on them and you did a great job on them, especially for someone that didn't know the system. I sent you a pm when you were still working on them. I really liked the way you researched and ask questions before you made your final decisions very nice....

These with timing hitting are exceptionally fun.

After Using pitch speed at 2 i'm starting playing it at 9.
I tryed 10 but im always late lol. However i watched a real game yesterday and i focus My eyes from time to time from when the pitcher lets ball and batter hits it. i really love how 9 matchs perfect this gap of time. Im Using classic pitching and When i max effort fastball the ball's speed is quicker like real one.
I can tell that with 9 i'm more in time and disciplined than the past 2 slider.
I really love it now.

Re: JoeRyan33 HOF Sliders

Working on throwing arms right now and it goes to something I'd said in another thread.

Catcher's arms are way overpowered even with arm strength down to 2. I'm seeing a Ryan Hanignan nailing Jose Reyes with a throw to second in 1.5-1.6 seconds. Most ML catchers are in the 1.80-1.98 range.

All that can be done here is individual editing. Without a slider for different positions I'm seeing that as unavoidable.

Joe there's wrote in slider arm strength info that this slider have nothing to do with pitcher and catcher arms.
Only fielder's one.
But When you test ballspeed did you calcate it with maxeffort or with normal pressing buttons?

I'm not sure I catch what that means, max effort? I use the stick to throw the ball with the meter turned off, I just popped up on a normal throw catching a fastball and nailed Reyes twice with Ryan Hanigan.

His throws were definitely getting to 2B too fast despite the slider adjustments. I know it says something about not effecting all throws equally or whatever. I'm going to individually edit all the catchers in the game until I find the attribute level which better recreates normal throwing strength. Sucks, but has to be done.

I hope in future games they really do have separate sliders for C/INF/OF.
