Edit for Below: 1 HR - Bautista
Had a few hits where they went over the IF heads, and bounced to the OF. Loved it. I'm a very weak hitter right now as almost everything is Early, Very Early, or Off-Balance. The Bautista HR was a mistake. I thought it was a popup. It carried, and got out.

By far the best and most fun game that I've had with The Show 12. Everything about the gameplay just seemed right. I was finally patient at the plate, getting 10 hits and 5 runs. Could have been 1 or 2 more, but I did have a base running blunder with bases loaded and no outs on a linedrive out to left, where I just hit wrong button sending wrong runner, so he got thrown out easily at home.

Pitching was good. Lester threw about 25 pitches in both the 2nd and 3rd, but then I was able to pretty smoothly make it through rest of game. Would have gone for CG, but was at the 111 pitches, so brought Jenks in the game to ensure victory. For them, Price was all over the place. I was able to get a lot of great hitters counts and rough him up a little bit.

No HRs by either team, which is very surprising, definitely for me as I usually generate most of my scoring through HRs. Good variety of hits though. Some grounders through the holes, some solid line drives, a few blasts off/to the wall, including a Pedroia ground rule double. Everyone on my team had a hit! Even drew a couple of walks in this game.

Definitely feeling more confident about these sliders with each game I play. This was my first victory after lots of mostly 1-2 run losses.

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

Did more thorough stats on this one.

I was about to pull Alvarez, as his stamina was about 25%. Could tell he was losing accuracy. Oliver wasn't warm yet.

HR Santana. FML.

Hey I have been playing with these sliders. They are slightly different from those which you have going right now. But, I will say this, they are pretty good and maybe a direction you want to look into.

Quite Realistic Sliders!!

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

MY FIRST WIN ! (lol)
My starter (Wandy Rodriguez) has been strong in 3 innings with 5Ks (pulse pitching always). I was patient until 9th inning where i have been struck out 3 times.
No error again. Maybe some sliders need to be reduced a bit. But i'm lazy, so i let specialists do the work (thank you).

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

Alright so I logged about 4 exhibition games after I unwrapped the game with everything default all-star, lost all 4, then looked here for sliders and plugged these in.

I use everything as listed on the first page except I use pulse pitching/zonehitting and lowered CPU throw strike to 3 instead of 4. In the default exhibition games the CPU would be up 0-2 way too often

I don't know how to post fancy box scores like you guys but I will just run it down real quick.

Played as my Padres vs the Mets and won 3 (7 hits)-1(8hits). Game was at Petco park. Both teams had only one extra base hit (double in both cases, and the Mets double was a fluke where I thought I was controlling a different outfielder and ran the opposite way from the ball so it shoulda been another single), no HRs for the game.

Santana was throwing a perfect game, had 8 strikeouts through the first 4, then I finally relaxes in the 5th, had a leadoff walk, 3 straight singles, then walked again with the bases loaded. Added another run later in the game with a Carlos Q. double. Stauffer was lights out but only lasted through 6. Brought in Street to close it out and gave up two hits, had to bring in Gregerson to get the last out.

Only steal attempt was from the Padres and was successful.

The game felt really good, with the one notch fielding changes this set uses it just looked and felt much more fluid when the ball was in play.

Not sure how I feel about pitch speed at 4. After playing those first 4 games on default I definitely didn't feel challenged by many fastballs, but I will play more games before deciding on that.

2 walks is more than I had in the 4 default games combined, so that is a plus, but I do think there is room for maybe another notch tweak to make the CPU miss the zone a bit more. Maybe bring control or consistency down to 4 and leave throw strike at 3? Or leave those at 5 and bring throw strike down one more notch to 2? I might do this but then move pitch speed back up to 5 to compensate. Any thoughts on this? I mean I don't wanna just get handed baserunners but while I am waiting for rosters to start my franchise I want to find a setting that will let me get realistic OBPs with my .400 type guys like Fielder

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

Well I just read through the thread and say Royale posted something about using this set with a couple additional tweaks to CPU pitching so I will try those out.
