You can do NL, I'll do AL + Astros, and we'll be done in half the time.

I'm doing it alphabetically, If you want I can post my spreadsheet and you can do #'s 332-662, I'm using Brooks Baseball's pitch classifications and f/x data, I have a little over 10% completed and I've been doing it for 3 hours on and off

What are you guys doing with pitchers that have just two pitch types but in the game must have three?

give em an extra fastball - ex. If player X has a 2-seam & slider, give him a sinker with the exact same ratings as his 2-seam; If he has a 4-seam and a curve, give him a running fastball with no movement

That way It will still seem like Player X only has a two pitch repertoire, because two of his three pitches will almost be identical, and the slight variance in movement is something that happens in real life as well

I don't know why they have it so every pitcher must have 3 pitch types, but your workaround sounds good to me. Are you posting it in this thread or somewhere else?

I don't suppose you're doing the minors, as that would be way too much work. I would be quite happy just seeing the majors done, anything beyond that to me is a bonus.

If I was just going on spring break instead of getting ready to go back tomorrow, god yes. I know it'll sound hollow, especially when you get to #400 and still have a ton of names to go through, but I will totally do this with you next year. Kinda new here and feeling my way around.

On that note, how do you guys incorporate these sorts of updated rosters with a top prospects roster? Exporting all the prospects and doing it that way?

Full Minors. My question is this: when Knight (or whomever imports the final file of all the minor leaguers) submits his final roster, will he be importing it onto the file with the major league pitch corrections being made here?

In the past, someone (or a small group) compiled the data first -- as seanjeezy is doing now -- then manually edited each player using the completed OSFM roster. Usually this was done after someone else had added stance/delivery edits and also equipment edits for MLB players. This is why we'd have three or four versions of the roster by the summer.

1. OSFM (created MiLB players, no edits to SCEA/MLB players)
2. #1 w/ updated stances & deliveries for non-CAPs
3. #2 w/ equipment edits
4. #3 w/ pitch edits
5. #4 w/ ratings changes for position players & pitchers (later in season)

Each version builds on the work of the previous one(s), so if done properly, it can take some time. The best thing anyone interested in an extensive editing project can do now is get their stuff organized (as seanjeezy is doing) so they're ready to go when the times comes to do the data entry.

It depends on if/when SCEA makes any changes. I believe Knight is tentatively planning on importing all the CAPs into SCEA's first regular season roster update. However, if the creation process is complete in advance of OD, using the current SCEA roster for an early release is a possibility.
