It's hard to find anything positive about the Pirate rotation at this point in time. I believe Correia is the only starter who has a win thus far and he just got hammered in his most recent start.

Looks like Hague will make the roster, probably platoon with Jones at 1B but if their starting pitching doesn't come around that won't matter. The team is built for small ball but that only works if you have pitching.

Re: 2012 OSFM: Pittsburgh Pirates

Hey guys,

I was playing around with my Pirates roster at home while I wait for the OSFM roster and I found a few stances I think work good and I wanted to get your guys opinion since you have been working on the Bucs.

With Cutch changing to a more open stance, I found that Brad Hawpes stance works pretty well and I have always hated how they give JMac Andrew Miller's delivery so I started looking around and found that Brett Anderson's works well because he does a slight pause with the glove.

Just my .02 on a boring Saturday night.

D McCutchen and Lincoln optioned to AAA.

More importantly though, huge thanks to tree, GoBucs, piratesboy, and Electric Wiz for the hard work on these rosters. You guys definitely are up on everything Pirates so I'm sure all the time and effort is going to lead to an awesome playing experience for all us Pittsburgh fans.

Have definitely enjoyed the collaboration, discussion, and debate. Thursday can't come soon enough, I'm excited to follow this franchise from top to bottom for the first time in as long as I can remember.

The Pirates roster is completed!

Thanks to all that were involved!

Big thanks to GoBucs for player potentials, depth charts, imputing player info, and most of all the FACES, he did a great job again this year.

Big thanks to ElectricWizard, who helped me with player stances.

Big thanks to ridin' for the player ratings.

Also thanks to Qb, eman11, joshize, vbarletta, and eveyone else for helping with player potentials and deciding who to include in the roster set. We are a passoniate group of Pirate fans and I think that will show with these rosters. GoBucs and I will be adding a couple more players to the OSFM when all the rosters are final.

Thanks again guys it was a lot of fun!

EDIT: how could I forget Knight! Big BIG thanks to Knight and Ridin for all the work they do on these fantastic rosters

Re: 2012 OSFM: Pittsburgh Pirates

Hope everyone enjoy's the Buccos roster this year. I know I will, everyone's input was great (eman11, qb, joshize and everyone else I might be forgetting). Should make for a very close to real life Indy and Altoona roster. Of course a big thanks goes to the Pirates front office for actually filling their rosters with decent prospects instead of career minor league bums lol.

Hopefully my face edits this year are an improvement over last year, I was hopeing to get more critical feedback on the pics I posted (qb did offer some points on Bell which I improved). I did a lot of tweaking last week which probably helped. For the most part, if you're familiar with what the minor league guys look like, it should be very fun to play minor league games.

Although face edits are kinda meh without some outstanding equipement edits and stances/deliveries so a big thanks to Tree and ElectricWizard as well as everyone who had input.

Forgot to give thanks to Ridn (and Knight) for the work on importing/exporting and ratings. Looking forward to seeing that this year. Hopefully Tree and I had our created guys somewhat close to make it easier.

Speaking of players to be added, I'll be working on a package of extra's this weekend, if anyone has a request, let me know.

Here's who I'm planning on creating.

Between Dodson and the big time Dominican guys (Osuna, Garcia, Polanco, Hanson) all available, that's pretty much going above and beyond on extras. Can't wait for all of those guys to be options.

How do we go about getting the extras when they're ready? Would they be put in the player vault? A new OSFM-type roster with them in the FA pool? Or USB?

I'm terrible technologically, so just curious how the guys above and beyond the 90 originals would be merged in, because that's a great set.
