Is this the last year for the PS2 version of the Show?

Sony has stated in the past that they would only support the PS2 till 2010. If that is the case then this year would be the last year for the Show on the PS2.

I am interested if that happens if "even more attention" would be devoted to the PS3 version?

If people buy it, they will make it. With millions of PS2s in homes and those folks still buying The Show, I'm sure they'll keep putting a PS2 version out. Given the limitations of the platform and DVD media, they probably can't add too much more though. I doubt very much attention is paid to it now. This will most likely eventually cause the demise of the PS2 version.

Not at all. The game is getting plenty of love. In fact, the programming appears to be identical to the PS3 version, so any gameplay improvements in the PS3 version are also in the PS2 version.

Doesn't the PS2 game get classic parks?

Yes, and no doubt because you kept asking for them all these years, Scooter. So a warm thanks from us poor, underpriviledged PS2 gamers.

Yup.

....And I'm actually impressed at how many new features for the PS3 are still gonna make its way into the PS2 version. I say out of all the sports games still being released for the PS2 each year that I have played....The Show probably adds the most and improves the most with each new version.

The thought of Sony brass though is that people will move to the PS3 after the "cycle" has ran it's course. The PS1 was still selling well a couple years after the PS2 launch and then they stopped making the games for that platform.

Its definitely going to come to an end eventually, but I would be surprised if 09 was the last one.

It would be smart business for sony to keep the show going for PS2 a little longer.

I know gamers had their opinions on the show 08 vs. 2k8, but no matter what game you prefer, there is till competition.

If it comes down to $20 for a game or $399 for a console, I can't see making the jump for a while.
