Seager looks awesome! Too bad the M's couldn't play Oakland all 162.

Yeah, that was a reality check for anybody dreaming. I still think this is a 72-77 win team. The foundation is obviously there, key pieces just need to mature before they can compete with Texas and LAnaheim.

The TV deal was talked about in another thread, but the M's deal can be rebid in two years for approximately $35m more per season (according to Forbes). How important is that money going to be towards re-signing Felix and going towards the young kids now who will be arbi-eligible a couple years later. The timing couldn't be much better.

Nice AA debut by Walker last night. For once, I wish I lived in Jackson, TN.

Re: Seattle Mariners 2012 team thread

Well, what are you going to do. Feliz was pretty dominant today. Kid has great stuff.

I am glad Brendan Ryan got benched. That three pitch strikeout when Darvish was struggling to find the plate was ridiculous. I could be wrong, but I think that was the source of most of Wedge's frustration.

Ryan can pick it, but having at-bats like that is unacceptable. For as good of a defensive shortstop as he is, he can have some lapses in the field as well. I am sorry Ryan, but you're not good enough in any facet of the game to have lapses. Learn from the benching and start playing ball. I won't be sad if you're gone by the trade deadline.

Montero and Smoak got two hits a piece but that was it. A tough night for the M's, but Beavan pitched great. If he can spot that 91-92 MPH fastball, he can be pretty tough.

Just want one win from this series... Let's hope Millwood can quiet the bats tomorrow and we can get a little bit of offense. A 4-3 road trip heading in to Friday's home opener is just fine with me.

Paxton is throwing another gem today. 4 innings so far, 4 hits, 1 run, 0 bb's, 6 k's.

3-3 going into today's game. I really don't want to dip into that sub .500 category yet...

Loving what Seager is doing right now (everyone is I know), and I'm curious what happens when Franklin comes back and the outfield shifting begins. Does Figgins knock Seager off the map?

Figgins can keep doing what he's doing. Maybe then he'll gain some trade value later on. Hopefully he looks at it as a chance for a fresh start somewhere else, which is what he needs.

Awesome come from behind win tonight... Saunders was doing it all out there. I thought after the first inning, Millwood was going to get absolutely rocked. Glad he proved me wrong...

Great win last night. The team is just more fun to watch this year with all the young guys starting to develop. Still waiting for Olivo and Brendan Ryan to become permanent bench players though

Awful game tonight. I loved seeing Cammie retire as a Mariner though. The biggest mistake Bavasi ever made, and he made a lot, was not resigning Cameron. I put that above the Bedard trade.

Hultzen pitched for Jackson and had a monster game. 5.2 innings, 1 hit, 0 ER, 3 bb, 9 k's. In typical fashion for this franchise, he received no run support and picked up the loss. Walker tomorrow.

Yeah it was not a great game to see. Luckily I was drunk.

Following the Jackson team, however, is incredibly exciting
