The 2007 Los Angeles Dodgers

I realize I'm probably the only Dodgers fan on this board, but I guess this could be used as a rallying point for all of the NL West teams, future opponents, random comments, etc.

Enjoy.

I think there are more, but I'm surprised by the lack of representation by LA Fans here.

Great defensive play by Wolf.

I think the only way i'll be somewhat pleased that the Dodgers will win this season is if Russell Martin is the reason why. He's the only Dodger that I even looked at while drafting my fantasy teams

Brewers win 4-3.

So much for the fantastic starting pitching. I'll go on a limb and say we'll start the season 0-6 by the time we return home.

Re: The 2007 Los Angeles Dodgers

The Brewer announcers were talking about taking extra bases on the OF's of the Dodgers. Pierre and Gonzo, especially Gonzo, the hit that Bill Hall had that he stretched to a double. Gonzo barely got it to 2nd base.

That could be a major weakness the Dodgers have. Also, I just realized the Dodgers aren't that young. Gonzo, Kent, Pierre, Nomar, all starters past 30.

I was impressed by the Dodgers bullpen, though. They threw some heat.

Should be an interesting matchup tomorrow night. Schmidt vs Suppan, battle of the free agents.

I don't think that's a legitimate concern. Waiting in the wings are Kemp, Loney, Ethier, etc., to fill in the shoes of the aging veterans. It's a good balance of youth and experience. I don't mind throwing around a few dollars to acquire a FA that might put us over the top.

You are right, it is a good balance of youth and experience.

I just think the more legitimate concern would be the outfielders arm strength. The Brewer's have taken advantage of the arms in both games.

True, the Brewers didn't seem afraid to run on Gonzo and Pierre. Neither have strong arms.
