The 2006 Oakland Athletics - Reborn

I find it funny how the leaders in the AL West and the hottest team in baseball doesn't have their own thread, especially after tying a record of most consecutive wins against a certain team.

We're currently 68-52, won 11 out of our last 12 and are on a 6 game winning streak. Nick Swisher is finally batting like a star again, and the rest of our lineup (including the bulk in Milton Bradley, Big Hurt, and Chavi) is getting hot. And like always, our pitching is on fire. We're a comfortable 6.5 games above the Angels and Rangers, and if we can keep our bats hot, there's no telling what we can do.

Now I know I'm not the only die hard A's fan on OS, so let's give our team some love and keep this thread goin!

What a huge momentum booster. The Jays were killin Haren and built an 8-0 lead, but we bailed him out and are up 11-8 now

Oh, we were still first in the AL West 2 months ago. I made an A's thread when the season first began, but there just isn't that big of an A's following on these boards so it died out. It seems like I'm the only real diehard A's fan here...

It should get more vibrant in the playoffs.

Haha, amazing how Haren pulled out with a Win in this one. Add another to his win tally... that's 12.

Unless, of course, our bullpen rains on the parade....

And Jay Payton's homer seals it. Great come from behind win, huge momentum booster, A's win 12-10.

Should, hopefully, open the gap a bit more on the Angels.
