Unofficial 2006 Kansas City Royals: The Team Money Won't Buy

I am impressed seeing them take 2/3 from the defending champion White Sox. Of course they always seem to beat some elite teams and give us hope only before tearing our hearts out.

So, where does everyone think Mike Sweeney will be traded to be season's end?

The White Sox series at least gave me a little hope. A few friends and I went to the Friday night game. Boy, was that a crazy one. Sure was exciting, though.

And I really don't think Mike Sweeney will be traded. The Royals have stated that they are committed to keeping him a lifetime Royal. Hope he's okay after getting nailed in the hand by Rivera.

We just didn't think it would happen immediately after that.....

this team is horrible. its an embarassment to be anywhere even watch the games. i dont think they will last much longer in kc.

Well they hired a new GM today, firing Alan Baird. Maybe Dayton Moore can repay the favor of John Schuerholtz to Atlanta 15-17 years ago.

Of course, even if he does he'll leave to go to another team with more money. How is it a team owned by a Wal-Mart heir won't spend any money to improve?

My god is Kansas City awful, presently they sit at 19-49, a mere 26 games back and we aren't even at the All Star break. They are on pace to go 45-117, maybe they can hit a real rough patch and challenge the 1962 Mets' record for losses in a season. It is a shame one of these schmucks will be stealing an All Star spot.
