Yeah, but that's only because you had the immortal Nick Punto and his -27 VORP playing there last year.

I wish I could watch this game, as I have become a bit of a White Sox fan these days. And actually like watching the Tigers as well. But all the MLB Extra Innings games are blacked because of the national broadcast by Fox of the Pads and Dodgers.

This is really hindering my boycott of all things Padres.

Hopefully the Tigers get embarrassed again tonight. I know they won't run Leyland out of town, but Mumbles just may quit if things get bad enough.

Funny thing is, the only person who is doing anything is Inge. The player mumbles wanted to run out of town.

Join the Fire Leyland! campaign.

The Tigers don't even know that you absolutely can't afford to make the 1st or 3rd out going to 3rd base. Thats a coaching deficiency. FIRE LEYLAND!

WOW!

6 games into the season and people in Motown are ready to ship Leyland out of town.

Watching the series against the White Sox, this is not Leyland's fault. BUT to each it's own.

Who's job is it to motivate players to play? Who's job is it to make sure that you don't make the 1st out of the inning trying to stretch a double into a triple? Who's job is it to make sure the players are discplined at the plate?

This team was put together by Leyland. And now he doesn't know how to manage it. If you don't think that Leyland had more say in the current team than Dombowski, just look at how Leyland managed the Cameron Maybin situation last year. Dombrowski brought him up late in the year and wasted an option year in order to get him some valuable big league experience. Leyland to everyone's shagrin, leaves Maybin on the bench. The kid needed at-bats, if Mumbles wasn't going to play him, he should have stayed in AAA. It was a power play by Leyland.

I also guarantee that Mumbles favored the sluggers over bolstering the bullpen. What Mumbles wants, Mumbles gets. The good news is that he is a quitter so if things get bad enough, he'll up and quit for personal reasons. I think its funny that the player that Leyland was trying to run out of town, Inge, is the only productive player so far this year. He'll be gone at the trade deadline. This team has a strange Juan Gonzalez feel about it. They have mortgaged the future, and now the present is in the toilet. Thanks for ruining summertime in Michigan, Mumbles. By the All-Star break, the tigers should be a good 15 games out.

Look at the stats for the Tigers....After Leyland's first 70 games in Detroit, the Tigers are a sub-.500 team. Thats over the last 250+ games the Tigers are a sub .500 team. With this payroll, Come ON! Look at the last 2 years, the Tigers started out hot and then fizzled down the stretch. They limped into the play-offs in 2006 becoming one of the only teams on record to make the World Series while playing sub .500 ball after the break. So now what's going to happen when the Tigers fizzle on both ends? A 70 win team, perhaps. Can you say FIRE SALE! Dombrowski & Leyland are experts at that.

The problem is their pitching...Yeah the bats are cold right now, but bad pitching never heats up!

It isn't Leyland's fault you guys can't hit right now. It also isn't his fault Zuymia(sp?) got hurt carrying boxes but he could hire someone to do that for him. I still think the division title will come down to the Tigers and Indians but every team will go through slumps and its better now then to have your team fall apart totally in the ALCS or the World Series. The Tigers will recover and they signed Aaron Fultz who should be in the MLB helping them but they have him in Toledo he will be up soon helping you though.
