-Official 2006 Oakland A's Thread-

Now I know there's a decent following of A's fans here (though not as close to the Red Sox, Yankees, or Mets), but we had a good thread going last year, and we should have one this year for one of the World Series favorites.

We got pounded by the Yankees last night, but hopefully Harden can go out there and get us a W tonight. Who knows, this might be the pennant game later on this year.

Blanton really tore it up last night with 8 solid innings, giving up only 2 hits and no runs. Looks like he'll be having a good year.

I'll get in here. I love the A's. My relatives live in the Bay Area and I go to an A's game every year. I follow them as my second team.

Glad to see Zito got his groove back, pitching 6 scoreless innings and giving up only one hit. 2 straight shut outs for the A's, things are looking great. Let's hope we can close out this series tomorrow afternoon.

Looking good so far at 5-2, time to kick off this series on the road against the Twins.

Eric Chavez solo shot in the 2nd, 1-0 A's.

Last year I had to man the ship by myself....got kinda lonely in here

but all is well now...and we are up on the Twins 4-3 in the bottom of the 3rd...but dang Haren's got into a bit of trouble with two runners on now.

Lost todays game 7-6...Chavez hit a 2 run homer in the 8th..to get cut it to a 1 run lead in the 8th but that was as close as we got.

Let's go sweep the Rangers now though.
