Official Texas Rangers 2005 Season Thread

As of right now the Rangers are silently tied for the division lead in the AL West with a 28-20 record. They're leading the league in homers, their pitching has been good enough to keep them in ballgames, and above all else, we're currently riding a 7 game win streak.

So let's get some discussion about these Rangers!

Teixeira and Soriano are beasts lately...and i hate the Rangers.

Tonights game vs. the White Sox was rained out after three hours of waiting. It looks like we will have to wait until tomorrow to see if the Rangers can improve their win streak to 8 games, with Chan Ho Park taking on John Garland

I was there for 2.5 hours of it. I could tell they were gonna call it so I took off a bit before they officially did.

The Rangers completed the sweep against Chicago today, winning 12-4, and improve their win streak to 8 games. Again, our pitching wasn't great, but it was enough to keep us in the game until the sixth, when we really broke things open. Chan Ho Park picks up his 5th win for the year.

Monday is an off day for the Rangers while they head out to Detroit to begin a three game series on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Gotta love that offense, but I'm not sold on their pitching just yet.

The Rangers pick up another big win tonight, beating Detroit 8-2. Our offense has just been unstoppable lately. Kenny Rogers pitched great throughout the game- 7 IP, 3 H, 1 ER. Anyone see that Torres kid? Who knows if he can hit, but can he run or what?

9 games and counting!

And the streak ends at 9. The Rangers lost today to Detriot 4-6. Things were looking good until the Tigers scored 5 in the 7th. Dreese was pitching well early in the game, but ends with another rough start- 6.1 IP, 10 H, 5 ER.

Tomorrow Chris Young (5-2, 2.93) takes on Nate Robertson (2-3, 3.04).

Re: Official Texas Rangers 2005 Season Thread

Another loss today, 5-6. Rangers were winning by 2 until Detroit tied it in the 9th, and eventually won the game in the 10th. I guess the one positive is that Chris Young started to get back to his early season self. 7 IP, 8 K, 4 H, 3 ER.

Hopefully we can get things back on track tomorrow as we begin a 3 game set at Kansas City.
