I didn't have much faith due to the fact 2k was putting it out. They've burned me one too many times in the past on baseball. This review just let me know my decision to pass on this title was a wise one.

In all likelihood it is the 20-80 scale they are using which mirrors what real life scouts use. OOTP has this as an option in it's ratings system as well. They should have included that info in the game though.

Sad to see this game getting this kind of a review as I had high hopes for it but we still have OOTP for the hard core simmers.

why would they put this product out. I know they are trying to milk the mlb license but this isn't helping TT MLB brand.

So, take 2 could put out Prizefighter and MLB Front Office but we can't a football game out of them.

I picked this up, played it for about a week and a half and gave up. The deal-breaker for me was that I got offered a trade but couldn't make a counter-offer. I could accept, reject, or "Let me think about it" (which was basically a look at the ratings for the players involved). I had read this in a review but thought some of the other factors might negate something like this. They didn't and I was just bored with it. I somehow got my full $40 back for it though so I guess it's no big deal. Too bad, i had high hopes for this...
